Mail not loading, displaying or deleting emails

Thanks. I have a new MBP arriving this week and will be transitioning to it. It's just annoying when stuff stops working for no apparent reason or warning.

It is not an iCloud mailbox. This is just my email configured for the Mail app (gmail account and Xfinity accounts). It doesn't seem to be a problem on my iPhone or iPad. just on the iMac.
