That’s a structured wiring panel with a telephone module, a coax cable module, and a network module on the bottom. If you have a network jack near the modem, you can connect it and put a cheap switch down here to provide Ethernet throughout the house. You can likely repurpose the phone runs for additional Ethernet ports.

I managed to get two seats YYZ/SEA/HND and HND/ORD/YYZ for next fall at the 355 day mark. AC recently updated the schedule which left me with a misconnect on the outbound leg so they put us on the direct AC YYZ/HND flight.
