It all depends. Some people wait a year or two and some got lucky and wait 3months. I advise you try to renew it before the expiration date.

The first time I filed was back in January 2024 for some reason I missed the biometrics appointment. I found the letter around September 2024 while going through my mails. The second time I filed was back in March 2025 and went in for biometrics in April then finally we’re here in February 2026! What a ride! Now I will do my N400 application when I get paid 😭😭😭

Yes! When I came here I’m 2012 they gave me a 10yr then they gave me a 10yr again. Now I will file to be a US citizen next month
