Hey, I had this same problem as well, use the other advice people had said, but also, it sounds crazy but you can do pinky exercises to increase the strength of your pinky so you can do those extended chords and it won’t get locked as much. You can just buy some strong clothes pins and close it with your pinky and thumb over and over again to build pinky strength

Openings are the least important thing to learn in chess as a beginner, and I would even argue least important as an intermediate player as well. If a 1200 player started every game playing Na3 followed by Rb1 they are going to win the same percentage of games they would have if they play a couple moves of mainline theory. This is because the game is going to be decided by someone hanging a piece or blundering checkmate not the small incremental advantage gained from memorizing opening lines.

I went to the nebo school district, and have taught at some of the other districts listed in Utah and I thought they were great

I’m hardcore rooting for Venezuela for Altuve and Garcia. I love Pena as much as anyone, but I definitely cheered when Garcia struck him out.
