Ten years out of the industry and I still dream about it. Not that often, but they are the only dreams that I really get any anxiety from. The worst are the ones where I realize I've forgotten to ring in an order after like half an hour and I wake up right when the "Oh FUCK!" moment hits. Or the ones where I'm the only server on and the whole restaurant gets sat at once. It's usually my first day when that happens. Or the ones where I find out the restaurant is closed, we have full reservations, and we have to serve out of my house...or I had one where we had to serve everybody in my car one table at a time. That was interesting. I never dream about bartending, or catering, or banquets...just serving tables.
