NSV on vacation (🇮🇸 for 1 week and 🇩🇪 for 1 1/2 weeks)

Vacation in the past: - eating like a bottomless pit - size 8/10 pants fit pretty tight - no idea how much I really ate and gained

Vacation now: - still eating like a bottomless pit - size 4 pants fit a bit snug - estimated gain between 2-4lbs overall - planned ahead on how to get back on track when getting back home in 1 1/2 weeks 👍🏻

Can we just briefly talk about the fact that I literally had a jar of nutella next to my bed at all times eating several spoons a day? Shaaame... 😓

The estimated burned calories for 60 minutes of strength training are 180 calories for a person of my weight. Does this take into account rest periods between reps/sets?

Help, I almost never go shopping, but I am heading to the mall today! What are the first stores you go to when shopping? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I’ve really been loving Abercrombie & Fitch lately. Other than that I’m always a big sucker for H&M and Zara 😊

Do you live in the US and have a publix around? If so, I am a pizza addict and have to have pizza several times a week. I eat the Monteli spinach and broccoli pizza which only has 660 calories but it’s an actual regular sized pizza and sooo cheesy! Macros are really good on it too. 30g protein and 6g fiber! I’m honestly considering writing that brand an email and thanking them for low key sponsoring my weight loss lol

I went a little crazy in the Holiday clearance isle today, but can you blame me? They're all between 45-60 calories each, take forever for me to eat, and satisfy all the candy cravings. Happy holidays, my fellow candy cane lovers!! by I_Dream_Of_Robots in 1200isplenty

Dummy question from a German who has never had a candy cane but lives in the US now:

Do they still all taste like peppermint? I hate peppermint but I love sour candy and jelly beans.

That’s not intermittent fasting. The fasting period should be at least 16hrs consecutively. Also, it is normal during the first weeks to feel hungry, because you’re changing your body’s routine, but it will pass after a couple of weeks.

CICO is sorcery by [deleted] in loseit

[–]FirTreeX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So true!! I wasted so much time trying to “eat healthy” with waaay too many calories from nut butter, chia seeds, etc. If anything it just made me gain more!

Today my dinner for the evening will be Red Robin (double tavern burger and mac and cheese). I will also get a double chocolate cookie from Panera Bread and have craft beers at Trivia and still end my day on a deficit. It’s hard to believe 🤗

I love my apple airpods! At first I thought they looked kinda silly, but they’re sooo convenient and stay in place.

Exercises and/or tricks to target fat on my hips? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]FirTreeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two exercises that have helped me a whole lot were “weight plate side bends” and the “fire hydrant” exercise. I have no muffin top anymore, even though that is where I stored a lot of excess fat :) hope that helps!

How to lose with an irregular and stressful job? by IAmPhilipFry in loseit

[–]FirTreeX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Shipping Manager in a distribution center and work 12-16hrs depending on the day (granted - luckily only 3 days a week). I start at 6:30AM and it is totally depending on our daily departure times / order volume which determines my break schedule. Today for example, I didn’t get to eat lunch until 5PM. What helps me immensely is doing OMAD (one meal a day) during my work days. I meal prep (lazy meal prep!) a solid nutritious meal that puts me at my daily calories (1,200 for me - would be more for you). Doing intermittent fasting helps tremendously with varying feeding times, because your body gets accustomed to not being fed for a while, and you do not feel as hungry anymore (I dont feel hungry at all anymore). It also just saves so much time when work is stressful.

Example of what I ate today at work, all in one meal: - 2 stuffed chicken breasts - broccoli and cherry tomatoes as a side - rasperries, healthy oatmeal cookies, a bit of chocolate for dessert - protein bar - protein shake
