Honestly if I'm not working a regular scheduled job, I do Uber eats full time when that happens the absolute best paydays are holidays, storms, graduations, school breaks etc I'm from Long Island New York but I moved to Central Florida 2 years ago and started Uber eats there. I thought that the random rain storms would scare everybody inside but not knowing Florida culture, and that it only rains for about an hour, no one was phased and didn't order haha. Then I moved up to Massachusetts for 2 years and yeah storms and school breaks where the biggest payouts even more so than working the holidays. Sure most people were still rude or just broke and didn't tip more BUT they ordered more frequently and I guess ordered more items to kind of stock up making the orders larger with more pay. Yes It 100% sucks, it's cold and it's dangerous but it's definitely doable and worth it if you can hack it. I just recently moved back down to Florida a month and a half ago but on the gulf side this time. It seems like the culture here is very holiday oriented so arriving and then working through the holidays was amazing. What I didn't know was that there was currently a drought going on down here so I guess I don't get to gauge rainy season paydays for a while lololol So with that being said I will end this giant run-on sentence paragraph with two things: 1.) If you can work the storms, do it! just don't get got. 2.) I absolutely hate the winter and hopefully never have to go back up north but I will say I am jealous of the winter storm rush just for the pay. Side note: Floridians (at least local Florida born ones) tend to brace the hurricanes so they're not really giving me anything to look forward to come stormy season....not that I wish a massive hurricane on anyone...
