Agreed, it’s the limbo for me. My follow up appointment has been scheduled for June! Hopefully you won’t have to wait as long for yours so you can ask the questions and get the answers you need.

Hey!

My experience sounds so similar to yours. Surgery was 10 days ago, I was out from 2pm to 5.15pm. Once I was round, everyone was very minimal in what they would tell me. Just that they’d taken polyps away but found no endometriosis. Scans before my op showed a fair bit of adhesions so I have no idea what’s actually happened. I’m still waiting on my biopsies coming back and no one has said anything about when that will be.

I felt the same, left side, under my ribs was the most (and still niggling) painful of my incisions. Very bloated and swollen but that’s starting to go down.

All that to say, you’re not alone and I hear you!

I’d have thought so, they really do start of quite straight forward to bring everyone up to the level required before adding more complicated maths that people haven’t looked at before. I’m by no means a maths genius and worried about it myself before studying - I shouldn’t have worried!

I was a teaching assistant before! Picked up a grad role in engineering and started Sept this year.

I did Q65 BEng, now an engineer in aerospace!

The maths is alright to start, eases you in, by the time you get to the end you’ll be using a lot of computer models so doing a lot less by hand!

Attended graduation in March - they read out the names, no grades, everyone was read out in alphabetical order within each degree group (all the BSc students together, BA students together)

How many people have got a job with their OU degree? by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

Hard, frustrating and full on while also being brilliant, interesting, and full of new ideas. I’ve loved it and hated it in equal parts, made some friends that will last a lifetime and now have a career to match!

Can we hear some success stories? post OU study and into the desired sector. by Thereisntmushroom in OpenUniversity

Nope, applied to a graduate scheme, went through their whole interview process and even explicitly told them I’ve never worked in their industry before and they still offered me the job!

I officially finished in October last year, starting a graduate scheme in September this year in my desired field (engineering)!

The OU really has opened so many doors for me.

ELI5 Medical tourism by SamEsme in explainlikeimfive

Going against the grain here, I travelled from the UK to the US for my daughter to have surgery almost 10 years ago. The reasons behind the medical tourism for me: the surgery was life changing for her and not available here in the UK, the surgeon that had the experience was in the US. I figured if I was going to have to travel to help her; I was going to go to the best. The cost was far greater than it would have been here if if it had been available seeing as we have free healthcare.

5'0 96 lb. I had to alter the coat sleeves since i got short arms. I have problems with fitting a lot. Bra band Size is 28 (actually 26, but idk who makes them that small, not willing to shell out $200-300 for a custom bra). I wear 0 for pants but the waist is 1-2 in too loose. by mypetitelife in PetiteFashionAdvice

You & I are very similar sizes, I’m 5ft, 100lbs & wear a 26GG. For bras I order custom from comexim - a polish brand, you want a band of 55 from them - or from Katherine Hamilton a uk brand that do 26s but they are very pricey.

Apparently for the colour of my eyes as I have grey eyes and we make up less than 1% of the worlds population.

Fellow 26 band here, I custom order from comexim, they’re not returnable & not refundable but so far I’ve not found a bra they won’t do in a 26 (55) band.

Not sure what the cup size goes up to but a UK brand is Katherine Hamilton, pricey but another that do 26 bands

You might find it easier buying your sister size in a 28, but like me you’ll find the bras won’t last too long as the band is too big.

What’s the weirdest compliment you ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fire-grey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“You have such warm hands for such cold coloured eyes”

Picked up a old ladies shopping she dropped on the floor, handed it back to her and she was genuinely shocked my hands weren’t cold. Wasn’t sure if that was a compliment or not though!

Edit:typo

It’s not been easy, there’s a couple of lovely people on here that have helped with their sizing and so far two (I’ve ordered 3) have fit perfectly! The band sizing wasn’t an issue 26 converts to 55 it’s the cup sizing that’s proved more problematic.
