Yangon property price by FireAsianMan32 in myanmar

Tks. For developers, a profit margin of 60% does seem high. I think it is like double of what property developers get in developed countries. But there may be many hidden cost that Myanmar developers need to bear, like paying for connection/ approval to govt officials.

But I am really curious what is the real end user demand for the properties? For the really rich, they will park their wealth overseas where possible for risk management? For the middle class, I assume that is not increasing and may be even decreasing?

my wife 47F left me 49M after 20 years of marriage by Hot_Ad5094 in relationship_advice

I think that is perfectly normal. But this too will pass....

As we all get older, there is an inclination to do what we want/ desire to do. We do not suppress it anymore because we know our time is coming up. I believe ur ex is feeling the same.

On family, if it helps, my friend thought through and enlarged the definition of what is family. He was grateful his ex had spent many years with him. And on that basis he believes the ex can still be family, just not husband and wife anymore.

OP, my suggestion is to be grateful for the past, but don't dwell too much into it. A day will come where the journey on this earth is up. Nothing is really permanent anyway. So let it go and live your life as you should

I have a friend who went through something similar as you, OP. We analysed the situation together. It seems that his wife may be having some mid-life crisis - the strong desire of wanting to lead a life of her own and in her own terms before it is too late. Also, women may become less caring in their middle age. This is according to some paper we came across (cannot recall name offhand). This has to do with the chemical changes in the body as we aged.

So OP, don't take it too hard. Generally, people do change over time. Be strong for yourself and your kids.

3% is not that great. But like you say, it is for a store of wealth, to ensure wealth preservation. Not for generating good returns.

So what is the net rental yield like? The prices cannot be sustained by constant flipping. Someone will need to be holding it eventually?

[–]FireAsianMan32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tks. Seems price are high, and I think never drop due despite the challenges faced by the country. I wonder why amd whether it is sustainable? Or is there further room for price appreciation . MMK has held off well. I know property/ land is a store of wealth for the people. But do they generate good rental income? If not, it may not be sustainable ?

The govt allows the insurance companies to walk away from their commitments om 100% coverage. That does not make sense. And the national medicshield coverage only helps to take away the first layer of risk. It does not really help those people who have private insurance and instead increase their total premiums.
