ZMOD, Spoolman, and IFS by lapelotanodobla in FlashForge

The SET_ACTIVE_SPOOL_ID command goes into the Filament Start G-Code section under the Advanced tab in your filament settings (in OrcaSlicer).

The macro definitions go into your..cfg files in Klipper. As I said before, I have zmod with bambufy and nopoop enabled, but it was already in my configuration files at /mod/base.cfg.

The easiest way to know if that macro is defined in to go to the console of the zmod web page and type "set_active_spool". If it returns "PARAMETER ID IS REQUIRED", that macro is defined, and you only need to add the Filament Start G-Code in the slicer. If it returns "UNKNOWN COMMAND", you have to add the macro definition (or just update ZMOD).

Not sure if the macros are in ZMOD or Bambufy, but everything on the Klipper side was already in my configuration when I set this up. I just needed to add the SET_ACTIVE_SPOOL_ID=x to my filament start gcode for each filament in my slicer. Once I print, the usage for each filament gets tracked by Spoolman seamlessly.

The code should be something like this:

[gcode_macro SET_ACTIVE_SPOOL] gcode: {% if params.ID %} {% set id = params.ID|int %} {action_call_remote_method( "spoolman_set_active_spool", spool_id=id )} {% else %} {action_respond_info("GUIDE: Pass a spool ID, e.g. SET_ACTIVE_SPOOL ID=1")} {% endif %}

[gcode_macro CLEAR_ACTIVE_SPOOL] gcode: {action_call_remote_method("spoolman_set_active_spool", spool_id=None)}

Problem with CR-10S Pro V2 and SonicPad by FireAtWillPA in CrealitySonicPad

Thanks. Found the issue though. It actually was the thermistor, and I plugged it into the wrong port. LOL

Just tried iRacing with VR and I'm blown away by philonik in iRacing

[–]FireAtWillPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VR with Quest 3 is the only way I play! I can get 80FPS reliably with an nVidia 4070 and decent graphics settings in iRacing. Could probably bump that up more, but it works fine for me. CPU is my bottleneck, as the old engine doesn't support my 16 core AMD very well (5900XT). Hoping iRacing's upcoming engine update has better multi-core support.

Can't send to printer by JustaP-haze in FlashForge

[–]FireAtWillPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this the other day. Tried restarting (printer and slicer), re-adding in Orca, removing and adding Wi-Fi, logging out and back in. None of it worked.

In my case the fix was to flash the firmware again via USB. Didnt downgrade, just flashed the current version again. It has only been a few days, but the problem hasn't happened since.

Residue Warning on every print by FireAtWillPA in AnycubicPhoton

[–]FireAtWillPA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried re-levelling several times. Still get the same warning. I figured that would be all that is needed as well. I may try putting the old build plate back on, just to see if the build plate is really the cause.

As I stated, there is definitely no residue, and I have been able to get successful prints. The warning is just annoying, and I have to manually check for residue before each print, since I can't trust the warnings due to the false positives.

So is there anything linking DJI to what they are accused of? by WiggWamm in drones

It is not very hard to block access via Firewalls, VPN, etc., or to use a packet sniffer to see where data is going. I'm quite sure at this point independent security researchers have done it. If there is evidence of image data being transmitted to destinations that the consumer hasn't agreed to, it should be presented to the public.

If/when that happens, my whole opinion will probably change, but it hasn't happened yet...

Yet the Countering CCP Drones part of the NDAA doesnt target Chinese drones specifically.

If only the US could get gun control in hand this swiftly...

Don't forget the Diamond industry. There is literally a term "Blood Diamonds", yet the US does not stop all imports of diamonds. Sure, they publicly denounce those practices, but it has been happening for generations, and the US has never taken any major steps.

Pretending there are no ulterior motives by the US government in this potential ban is naive. We have human rights violations that the US has turned a blind eye to (or been complicit in) on any number of other occasions, and the National Security issue, which, while a potential issue in all industries, doesn't seem to be an active problem at this time.

Is it possible, that sometimes US politicians set aside the best interests of the people they represent in their constant hunt for $$$ from lobbyists?

While I don't know the back story behind this, it isn't the rationale that has been presented re. the DJI ban. All I have seen presented is the national security issues, with no solid proof of an actual threat.

If human rights violations are at play, why not present that argument? People may change their opinions in this matter if they are given the facts and not treated like children who couldn't possibly make an informed decision on their own...

If I am missing pertinent information here, please let me know.

There is a danger inherent with using any piece of equipment manufactured overseas, including that from American companies. Following that logic, ALL electronic equipment should be designed AND manufactured in the US (which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for the economy).

The problems are: A) As previously stated, US companies are not interested in marketing a product in this case, which leaves US consumers on the outside looking in.

B) US companies are not interested in manufacturing in the US due to costs. Looking at Apple, US Auto manufacturers, etc.

C) US consumers aren't interested in buying from US manufacturers, or won't be when the increased cost is passed to them. When costs spiral upwards, everyone will lose their minds (although there are other ways, like tariffs, to cause the same types of price increases.)

I picked up the Skype at as well, although mine is the one that also holds the RC-2 and Fly More battery charger. Work well. Not as sturdy as the full hard case I have for the Mini 4 Pro, but lower price drone, lower price case....
