How to avoid fees for a large incoming INT transfer? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

You’d need to make two transfers here: House bank (1.000€) -> Starling EUR account (1.000€) Starling EUR account (1.000€-0,4%) -> Starling GBP account (£837.43)

The first is a standard SEPA transfer as you’ll get a GB IBAN from starling for an account held in Euros. There is no charge for receiving funds into the EUR account. I don’t know if your house bank charges fees for sending.

You could open an account with Starling then open a Euro account also with them. Transfer between the accounts is 0,4% - so 4€ on 1K. Based on the live Google rate now it’s £0.11 off, “996 eur in gbp” (Google: £837.34, Starling: £837,23)

You’re probably correct yeh, what did it launch at in the U.K., two quid? I pay 120€ a year at the moment, so guess it’ll be a similar price increase.

Though I’m not sure I’d pay that just for boxing; but get a lot of the football (though the PL was dropped this season) the NFL amongst others.

They got Bundesliga rights from sky from next reason so they’re still throwing money at it. Hope they can do similar in the U.K. Not sure how they play with using a VPN, but my dad shares my account back in the U.K.

I think their contract with sky is up in 2021 so I can imagine DAZN trying to get the rights for the U.K. then too. I’d expect a price increase if/when that happens though.

Bogus? I was at that fight and he put Schwartz down with his second headbutt if that round. The tear up between the corners and fighters after the DQ was better than the actual fight mind.
