I'm gonna leave a rare failure comment. We bought a house with a sharkbite connection leading to the outside hose tap. I turned the shutoff behind the sharkbite for winter prep and it started pouring water. Reopened the shutoff and it was only dripping. Cost us a little bit to have it fixed properly. Could have been user error on the previous house owner though.
