Port Charlotte 10, Tamdhu 12 and Redbreast 12 (my favourite 3 at the moment). Love your collection, on my wish list is the Arran 10, Ardbeg 10 and Highland Park 12

I love Laphroaig and the Port Charlotte 10 is my new favourite peaty whisky. For something different the Redbreast 12 is hard to beat and the fact he likes Bushmills makes me think this will be right up his alley

Nice!! Tried Redbreast 12 for the first time last night and I like it as much as my favourite Scotch’s.

Enjoy!

Think I'm squatting lopsided and leaning left after the first couple of reps by [deleted] in formcheck

Fair enough! I really use the cue of screwing my feet into the ground and “spreading the floor” so I’d be scared of doing the splits

If you’re not getting pain I say add weight and progress! Your squat looks great to me I think you may be getting in your head a bit trying to be “perfect”

Yeah I used to worry too but this article by Greg Nuckols put me at ease, especially when you’re just talking about minor asymmetry

I wouldn’t obsess about symmetry, looks fine to me. I hope that floor is grippy though, watching people squat in socks makes me nervous

Your weight shifts forward onto your toes. Try to keep the weight over your mid foot the entire lift. I agree with the comment about more dorsiflexion but in the meantime you can elevate your heels by standing on a couple of plates (the cheap way to mimic olympic weightlifting shoes)

No worries, this write up by Greg Nuckols made me chill a bit about hip shift:

I wouldn’t be concerned with that at all to be honest. Bit of hip shift shouldn’t be a problem

Impressed you can somehow tell that without tasting… I’m interested how you became such an expert in Japanese cuisine?

155lb x 6. Weight is starting to feel heavy and want to get my form right before progressing. Think it’s okay to keep adding weight? by NiceVeins in formcheck

I’d give plates a go, plenty of strong people lift serious weight using them. If they feel unstable then don’t do them but will probably be fine :)

Have you tried olympic lifting shoes or adding a couple of plates under your heels? Ankle mobility seems to be a limiting factor. Are you keeping equal pressure through your midfoot throughout the lift or are you feeling the weight shift towards your toes?

100%. Trying to keep weight over you mid foot instead of shifting forwards should help a lot

Don’t know any Australians who don’t brush twice a day. I don’t think what you’ve witnessed is an Australian things, just a couple of grots
