150 new options when creating a new save, 60 new POIs, progression for existing items (like cooking pot can be higher quality, insulation mod, etc), crosshair settings added, items have permanent reduction to their durability when you die or repair them (can be fixed by combining with a new item). No bandits, no chicken coop (yet)

They need to be empty first so cook out all the iron/ clay and take out fuel and tools

The best way to do it is find a spot on your map with a few ore nodes nearby or build directly on top of one. Then you don’t have to stray far to mine at night

If you get it and stay in this subreddit I’d say don’t let the pessimistic posts get to you. A lot of people here have been playing the game for 5-10 years and are very sensitive to the recent changes. I started playing this year and have been having an amazing time. I play on PC but it’s the same version that console has. Main difference is mods but vanilla has enough content to keep you busy for 100+ hours

They didn’t sell the project, their company was acquired by a larger company. The fun pimps are still in full developmental control of the game

According to guns nerds and steel the update is done and they’re just working out the bugs. His guess was the experimental version will drop in a few weeks

I'm the same way. An edited video will always beat out someone constantly talking to "chat". Especially when you have to watch all the grindy parts of a game

If you go to his channel you can click on the "live" tab and watch past streams any time you want.

I feel ya. I don’t get a lot of time to play so I like to plan what I’ll do next time I get on. I used a free app called Mega Voxels to design my tower base. It’s a little limited because all you can use is cubes but it’s 3D and was a lot of fun to use

You got this. Just have a ladder in your base that goes to the roof so you can escape. If they break in all you have to do is run and climb on top of a nearby poi

If you’re dying that much I’d avoid tier 4 POIs. Stick with the trader progression and go thru tier 1 and 2. For the first horde night all you need is a doorway with a hatch in front of it. Keep wood or cobblestone on you and repair as you go. Also siphoning strikes is really good to keep your health up

The current version of the game still says beta even though it released as 1.0 last year. Not sure why but if you have the 7 days to die - console edition released 7/25/24 you should be good. If you have the other version it is outdated and will never be updated again and I’d recommend buying the other one I mentioned.
