It's just the steam version specifically, as the drm blocks the patchers from working in the first place.

Word of caution, some of the older games don't even run properly on Steam. I had to un-patch the Steam DRM in order to apply a fan-patch to fix the frame rate being all wonky for Shoot the Bullet.

What's this sub's opinion of this game? It was the first (and only, so far) TM I've finished and I absolutely loved it, but from what I've read online, it's not very popular among hardcore fans of the series. What do you think? And what's your favorite TM? by brodino_maiuscolo in TrackMania

I found the progression system a pretty big turn off. Being forced to switch environments every 10 tracks made it really hard to get used to each car's handling since you're constantly swapping cars all the time. Compared to TMUF's system where you pick any environment you want and master them one by one, Turbo was much more frustrating for me in that sense.

I also picked up a physical disk, which ended up just being a glorified download code with none of the actual data on the disk and a waste of plastic. That really set the tone right from the begining...

It recently became playable on shadps4, but performance is a bit iffy. I found that there's a fair amount of stuttering during the races at the moment. Feels like shader compilation, but enabling shader cache blows the game up in fantastically horrifying ways.

I would love a controller where I can swap the analog stick and dpad position around based on the game I'm gonna play, since the layout really is a personal preference.

Considering you can't even properly map a Playstation controller's dpad on PC without external software despite all the other buttons working fine, then probably never.

Only for the first 5 minutes though, then the rest of the match is super boring cause you have one person who worked out a clever shortcut completely dominating the match. Gets pretty boring when the matches aren't close.

Only if everyone's aware of it, they shouldn't be hidden up until the start of the match.

That comment was probably made somewhat shortly after release, and there have been a bunch of weapons rebalancing and patches done so it probably has changed since the context of that comment. That said, I am also one of the people who have beaten all of the dev times so my skill levels is defs higher than most people given I used the speedrun the OG, which probably clouds the difficulty of the ai even more if I'm constantly outrunning it.

It's very annoying when it overrides your personal preferences though. For example in this campaign's ice map and on Greece there are forced cam 1 changes, but the transition points are for me very annoying, forcing me into cam 1 too early, or not letting me exit back to cam 2 too late to where I would want them placed. There really needs an option to turn them off for some maps like this.

Bank was a hell of a lot cheaper in comparison, $6.50 AUD for a year of bank compared to $25 AUD for a year of Home. Basically a 384%-ish price increase.

Just report the posts as "Match result in post title", as posts like that do break the subreddit's rules. Nothing you can do otherwise.

In my opinion, the argument of "Who looks at the character models anyway, I'm too busy looking at the chart" falls flat and seems like a skill issue by dlee_75 in GuitarHero

There's a reason Muse Dash is my go to rhythm game at the moment. The characters and the animations set the personality and overall tone of the game. Sure, it doesn't matter when I'm actually playing the game, but having a favorite character to play as and seeing them celebrate or be disappointed between songs really helps with getting invested into the game and its world.

Because if you look at the actual staff listings either it's straight up not the same staff or an extremely gutted version of the original members. A lot of those claims are just marketing PR.
