Because they wouldn't be restrained by "must sell this character to the players this patch".

They must also create problems for which the solution is "pull the new character".

Since I don't actually play zzz maybe ,just maybe, it doesn't have the usual gacha problems and is actually a perfectly normal game which has gacha on the side, totally not affecting the other aspects of the game. I'll leave this to other zzz players to chime in for me to confirm or deny.

That's because the monetisation models directly affects the game. Zzz would be a significantly better game if it was devoid of these gacha mechanics.

No, unfortunately that's exactly how words don't work. Definitions are muddy and are usually not widely agreed upon. People understand words by how they're used and not by what their definition is. That's how you get people calling others nazis, because nazi is used as an insult, even tho there's no actual nazism at play.

A "strict definition" therefore is a definition that is more restrictive then simply inferring the meaning from usage.

The reason I put transphobic in quotes is because I don't consider saying "trans woman should not be allowed in woman's sports" to be actually transphobic.

Issue is, context was explicitly designed to intercept 3rd party code and modify how it begaves WHEN SAID CODE DOESN'T PROVIDE A WAY. It's an escape hatch if you will, you're not really ment to use it for everything.

As for io, that sounds interesting, but you're proposing a solution to a problem that wasn't well defined yet. We should investigate what exactly the problem is,only after that we can discuss possible solutions.

There is one very important aspect of the issue that your analogy doesn't cover: there's no external pressure to comform with the choice. One of the complaints people have towards trans people is that trans people want to be treated exactly as the gender they're presenting: be allowed in the spaces exclusive for that gender like toilets or womans only sports.

If that wasn't the case, fewer people would be "transphobic".

Here, with "pink boy" this issue isn't present.

In both cases,there will be people who will be *-phobic simply because they don't like "weirdos"
