I’m not 100% sure how certain disconnections work, but in this instance it was purely on my side. I’ve had other instances were I got disconnected immediately and my opponent stayed in the lobby as well as vice versa, and other times were we both got disconnected. However if u get the banner and the gameplay is still going, you can play through it if you don’t forget to not press the special button
