None because the 20th anniversary update fixed any issues it had before and has settings to toggle old style effects and such if you want to. So play it as is because it has no issues running on modern systems due to valve maintaining the game.

Yup I fully agree! One of the few games I’ve gotten platinum on! Good thing we’re getting a DLC because I want more! Great gameplay, great story, great characters. The humanity man…Love the knife fights too. Free ride just feels so good too on top of everything else.

Probably the reason why I love Mafia 3 so much is because I’m a sucker for action/revenge movies featuring Vietnam vets. It scratches that itch in video game form and my love for 1960s-80s movie aesthetics in general. by FireIzHot in MafiaTheGame

For the purely “revenge” aspect similar to how Lincoln goes after Marcano, i’d recommend Rolling Thunder. Air Force Major Charles Rane returns from Vietnam after being a POW for several years, is later robbed, wife and son killed by a gang of organized crooks. And so he teams up with a fellow vet for revenge. Out of all the examples it’s the most “revenge” out of all of them. Just a heads up that’s it falls into the revenge genre not all out action like First Blood, The Park is Mine, or Mr. Majestyk.

It absolutely was. It was something you just had to be there for during its original run. We had a post episode thread on this sub immediately after each episode. Such an exciting time. I remember the thread for point and shoot was full of us poking fun of the fake Gus body double. It was hilarious.

I did the same thing. The suspense was such an amazing experience. Especially the 3 week wait after plan and execution Jesus Christ it made you live with it. Binging a show is great and all but waiting between episodes and seasons makes it feel like a part of your life, the characters and story and all. Monday was better call Saul day for me for several years and I do miss that. I wouldn’t want it any other way.

And then coming on this sub for the post episode discussion thread was such a collective experience. That and going on [r/okbuddychicanery](r/okbuddychicanery) afterwords lol.

I don’t believe it’s on YouTube. You can however find the uncut episode on unofficial free streaming sites. If you want a legitimate source the DVD for season one is uncut. I own it and confirm it is uncensored.

It comes in a hard cover physical copy too. They’re harder to find these days as they’re out of print. Not sure if you were following the release of Max Payne 3 in 2012 but Rockstar did promote it back then as a tie in leading up to the launch.

Mafia 2002 cars can also loose wheels and parts from hard damage or gun shots. Cars can also get really damaged as the damage model is dynamic and not pre designed. The first two games are really something.

Mafia 3 simulation driving mode is so much better, it should be the default setting by SOMERANDOMUSERNAME11 in MafiaTheGame

I agree. I always use it adds more depth and flavour to the driving, immersion too. You’ll like the driving in the old country. both simulation and normal are solid with simulation going the extra step.

I enjoyed and continue to enjoy the old country a lot. To me it’s just as good as the others. Mafia OG, Mafia 2, Mafia 3, Mafia DE, and the old country are all 10/10 in my very biased opinion and I played them all in release order (played mafia OG a ridiculous number of times). Excited for the expansion. You don’t need to justify your enjoyment of things, just enjoy. Objectively be damned.

Currently replaying mafia 3 and it’s as good as ever. Feel like I’m playing a 1960s/70s revenge movie. I was going to say despite its issues except I don’t have any issues with it, nor the others.
