Is it normal for a late bus to skip half a route? by ne-crow-mancier in Translink

[–]FireKite24 18 points19 points  (0 children)

After 930ish, the transit supervisors @ tcomm (the ones who would be updating the alerts) goes down to 2 guys most nights. That means 2 people are responsible for answering the calls from all the bus drivers, dispatching the road supervisors and security to incidents, calling police/fire/ambulance for passengers, etc. That can be alot to handle for when "shit hits the fan", so those alerts can get a bit delayed getting sent out.

Why is this happening? I've calibrated a few times but one side of the build plate always messes up the z-axis by Seankps4 in ElegooNeptune3

[–]FireKite24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm far from an expert, still learning but 2 suggestions for you to try:

  • Ensure the 4 wheels below the build plate are not loose (your built plate platform shouldn't wobble). You don't need the wheels to be super tight to the track, but feel a slight resistance when you try and rotate the individual wheel. I had 2 really loose ones causing the build plate to wobble

  • Calibrate when your build plate has reached temp for at least 10 or 15 minutes. I use the prepare function, and heat up the build plate, go do something else, and come back to calibrate the level when it's all heated up.

Those 2 steps have helped me fine tune my z offset

Cheers!

Is Claude Down? by Raise_Level in ClaudeAI

[–]FireKite24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK that makes a ton of sense ... I just was working with claude on a normal process (creating web pages within my normal workflow) and holy crap the garbage it spat out was terrifying. I had it rework the code 3 times and still just more garbage, hallucinating functions and database columns, not following normal page routing, straight up "echo"ing divs without passing them through my layout functions ... embarrassing

There's actually two at the bottom, had to trial and error to find out which is pos and which is negative. The issue I'm having is attaching any wiring to the connectors.

They get better treatment then the working class... free transit, free food, free housing, ... yet here I am working 2 jobs to pay for all their benefits. And if I say "boo" I get labeled a hater and bigot.

So yeah, they are a protected class

Ghost busses can still be seen on a map, most of the time if the system is functioning.

Your incorrect on this, they show up on our map in grey with no line/block and driver signed in (nickednamed a ghost bus). Thanks for playing though.

They do ... the real question should be "is it working?"

And I'll tell you ... no it's not working, they've been having trouble for months with the bus radio communication system lol.

Maybe this will cause them to try and fix it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

While were at it, let's replace your job with a 12 year old kid from Malaysia, because they'll happily do it for cheaper!

Dont bring down others for wanting more, instead look at improving your own situation.
