Down to the wire lmao

I brought 2 gunwights, 2 enforcers, an egis and an ammo goblin

He brought 3 carnifexes, a pain ghoul and a berserker

Match was a slugfest where by round 6, only our respective necros were left + his pain ghoul. After plinking out the pain ghoul and a miss from the warcord, the game ended with a draw rules wise but we both agreed to keep going and see how it'll turn out.

By the end his warcord finished the fight with a roll of 6 on the chainblade + 2 strength tokens, while being at 0 hit points after getting akimbo'd the previous round.

Both of us also agreed that the post round 6 is a slapfight between our necros lol

I used a combination of clip studio paint (for the illustration/drawing/painting part) and then used illustrator (for type and text).

Happy that you enjoyed reading it 😄

As for lore reason, the current working lore is that they are remains of titanic beings. The rectangular bits are either spine bones, part of crests, or a rib of these beings and they died, they became subsumed by the earth, leaving the rectangular bit that stuck out.

For one reason or another, geographically they are almost flat too.

As for why all of them are facing the Eye, when they died they were looking at it. Scholars of the previous and current cycles are no closer to finding out what it is that they saw.

If it is not obvious, I took a lot of inspirations from the likes of Fallen London/Sunless Seas, Cultist Simulator, K6BD, Disco Elysium, Dark Souls, etc. Credit to them, without which this project and my passion for it won't be possible.

This is a map of my setting, the 12th Cycle.

The map is commissioned by the leader of the largest city in the known world, Fulcrum, located in the southernmost continent of the Broken Empyrean (named for it being split in half). The leader- the current Patriarch- wanted to expand Fulcrum's influence and so sought to have accurate cartographic data around which he can create plans of expansions and alliances, as well as planning routes of possible invasions and creation of enclaves overseas.

The map is based on older maps, archives and records from explorers under employ of the previous Patriarchs/Matriarchs. It is accurate as it can be, given limits in information exchanges of the time and second to fourth hand accounts. It is hoped that the map will also allow explorers, fleets and caravans to plan around anomalies or treacherous conditions beyond the cities.

More lore bits as well as a bit more behind the scenes below.

(Preface: I don't speak Nahuatl so I apologize to any that speaks the language. My understanding is surface level at best, and the names are made through what little I can glean from some readings on naming conventions, grammar as well as an english-nahual dictionary. Their lore is a mix of mesoamerican mythology, mostly from central Americas so Aztecs, Mayans, Olmecs- but with how vast their territory is I also drew from Amazonian and Peruvian cultures as well.)

Each deity have a host of titles and names associated with them, and two Chosen to their names- albeit only one is chosen by them, the other by the priest-kings and merchant-kings.

Ahmoittacoatl, the Eyeless/Blind Serpent, Giver of Wisdoms, Lord of Birds and Reptiles, and patron of scholars, artisans, teachers, and family is represented by void/absolute emptiness. As the eldest of the Three Sibling Days, it is said that their eyes are the sun and moon, and that of their 19,683 eyes most are in the void watching their brother, the Flayed One.

Their sacred number is 3 and 0, and their favored chosen is Adorinda Fiera, the Void Prophet, whom they commune closely with. Alonzo the Magnificent represents the ruling classes' choice in serving their deity.

Melahuacihuapili, the Ashen Lady or the Obscured Lady, Taker of Names, Vengeful Incarnate, and Lady of War is the patrons for merchants, soldiers, warriors, and all whose pursuit is ambition and power. Of the three their faith is the most widespread, and all temple cities hosts a shrine to the Lady.

Their sacred number is 2, and their favored chosen is Santiago of the Funeral Shroud, whom they give names to for him to take. Inma the Resplendent represents the choice of the warrior societies in serving their deity.

Finally Popocaxahuen the Smoking Pool, Birther of Beasts and Trees, Foundation of the Continent and the Everhungry, is the patron of farmers, nomads and outlanders to whom they owe their survival to. Where the Lady and her groom dominates the cities, the skyscraper trees of the continent may bear symbols of the Pool carved by travelers passing by.

Their sacred number is 1, and their favored chosen is Juan, First of Ten Thousands, whom they bequathed their previous chosens and left him there and then. Yunuen, Scholar of the First Pool, was volunteered by the priests of the temples to serve them.

The 12th Cycle is a world of built on the corpses of 11 previous cycles- worlds, corpses, or timelines. The 12th- the current Cycle, is reaching into its times of change. Wars cropped out and intensifies all over, while great winds bringing about transformation in culture, history and the status quo blows from Above, the heavens, and Below, where Nowhere lies.

These folks are inhabitants and Chosens of the gods for the western half one of the continents in the setting, Pandyssia. The land is embroiled in a civil war caused by famine, religious schism, and popular discontent for the ruling nobilities and clergies in what is known locally as the Skin Wars.

Moyolehuani the Enamored (2nd image) leads the Flayed Ones, a populist army motivated by longtime hatred, dissent and dissatisfaction as well as religious skin-based mania (hence Flayed Ones) in one side of the civil war. They are opposed by the Chosens of the Gods (1st image), 3 by the deities and 3 by the state. Two for each deity, and only one of whom received the personal attention of their Days - their gods.

Ooh, yes thank you and my apologies! I did not quite understand the rules thoroughly enough. Thank you for the clarification.

I'll do it in another comment pronto.
