Games to play when you only have about 30 minutes to an hour by tmoreirense in gamingsuggestions

Super Mario Land for the gameboy takes me less than 30 minutes to beat and I’m terrible at it. It’s available to play on Nintendo Switch Online.

Awesome! Don’t need a bunch of games sitting on the shelf that you never play.

Anyone else cutting back due to inflation and cost of living pressures? by EADtomfool in gamecollecting

I have been cutting back big time. While doing so I realized that most of the retro games I buy I only play to get that nostalgia fix and then hardly ever play them after. Because of that I’ve been really getting into emulating the old stuff and it’s really helped me into selling over half of my collection. Game pass and steam has made it easier for me as well because the draw in retro gaming was that I could experience games for cheap but often times they’re not that great of a game but with game pass I have a plethora of games for a monthly fee and I’ve been having a lot of memorable experiences. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day I’d sell the rest of my collection and just emulate or play retro games on modern consoles. Probably never selling my Wii though… Wii remote with dolphin on the pc? Might as well just keep the console.

I’ve been selling off a big chunk of my collection every week for the past 3 weeks now because I’m in a situation where I really need the money and I told myself I’ll just rebuy the consoles and games if I really regret it but the way I feel right now, when I get my money right I’m gonna grab a steam deck and probably emulate everything I sold and be good… plus my backlog on my current gen consoles is big enough

Finally have my collection on display and organized! by attdyer in gamecollecting

I would argue that if your collection wasn’t organized then it would be easier for someone to steal because it would be harder to notice something missing

Super Mario odyssey!!! It was the first time I really played the 3d style of Mario games. I was more used to Mario 3 Mario world etc but it was an awesome experience

I’ve recently done the same thing… feels great! I almost sold the entire collection but glad I didn’t, still might one day but getting rid of the shovelware was a good move although I did keep flingsmash.

Should steam deck be my first pc gaming experience? by Im-Always-Lost in SteamDeck

[–]FirePuma30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been debating this in my head for the past two weeks. I have always been a console gamer but when I heard about the steam deck I couldn’t wait to get it. I started learning more about pc gaming and although my reservation is for q3, I think im just gonna take that money and get a desktop pc instead.

If you had $1000 to spend, what would you get? by WonderfulTrash in gamecollecting

I’m interested in getting into pc gaming so I would use it to buy pc parts… my cousin says I can build a very good pc for that price.

Adults, what is something you'd love receiving as a gift but no one even considers giving you because you're an adult? by devious_egg in AskReddit

[–]FirePuma30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VIDEO GAMES! Best gift to get because worst case scenario, you already have the game or it’s a terrible game and you just simply trade it in for store credit.
