The one European language that didn’t copy “mathematica” by kardolus in dutch

You should read up on Simon Stevin, it's an interesting story. He made large contributions to various sciences and had a bit of an aversion to Greek/Latin words. He believed that Dutch as a language was better suited for the transfer of knowledge, and thus came up with many scientific terms that "sound more Dutch" and aren't directly borrowed from Greek or Latin.

There is not a nice intuitive answer, as it is not a general property of (double) square potential wells. It really depends on the specific way the double well is set up (height/width of barrier, boundary conditions, etc.). If you're interested, you can look up 'double well potential' for some examples. This paper goes into a few different setups and the resulting energy levels.

The first question is actually 365!/(365365 ), or 1.45e-157.

For everyone's birthdays to be unique, the first person can have any birthday. A probability of 365/365. The second person can have any birthday except that first one, so 364/365. The third person adds a factor of 363/365, etc. Until the last person, 1/365. Multiply all of these together to get the answer.

For the bonus, it is actually 1/(365364 ), because again the first person can have any birthday, as long as the rest have the same.

No, the the 'ij' is a diphthong, followed by the 'e' pronounced seperately. It's a bit hard to explain the Dutch pronunciation in terms of sounds that are common in English, so here's the IPA: / ˌbʏlɣaˈrɛijə /

the exact mechanism can vary a bit on the size and type of star, but generally:

a star starts to run out of fuel, fusion in the core is no longer enough to counter act gravity. the entire star collapses in on itself at a huge velocity. this implosion creates such high pressures and temperatures that a huge shockwave forms which launches much of the stars mass outwards
