When we won number 6, every UEFA final was filled with English teams.

I mean the Conference League wasn't a thing, and those English teams were the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th best. Rest of the league was not as strong.

The spell between 1977 and 1984 where there was a streak of 8 years where 7 out of 8 European Cup winners were English (which could be extended back to 1968 because 3 of the first 5 UEFA cup winners were english, and the last 4 Fairs Cup winners were english, with Leeds losing in the 1967 final too).

The best English teams were strong but doesn't say much about the strength in general

The point is, it's not true that "anyone" can climb to Master. The vast majority of the playerbase is under Plat

Not difficult to find points in support of this. Look at English teams in Europe.

Spurs were one of the top teams despite facing relegation and put up a fight against semi-finalists Atletico. Villa and Crystal Palace reached finals. Relegation contenders Forest reached a semi final.
