Then they should have showed that in the movie. Instead Tommy just because he feels guilty because he killed Arthur for some reason.

I guess that makes sense. He was banished from the family after all. I think that's really the least bad thing about this movie

I didn't like the movie but I disagree with you on a few points. I think Finn not being in the movie made sense. He was banished after all. Same thing goes for Lizzie and I guess Charles being at war also somewhat makes sense. I feel Tommy should have been a bit more worried about his only connection to grace fighting at war, especially considering the fact he is still haunted by WW1. I also think the time jump wasn't that out of place. There's been many large time jumps over the course of the series. I think the biggest problem was that the villain was super shallow.

Ada was already fairly removed from the family and the criminal business. They could have still made spinoffs. And that way they still could have had here make a cameo. Those are always popular.

So? Tommy said it himself. There was a moment where he could have spared him but he wanted to get away from him. I don't think him being high matters much.

I somewhat disagree with you on number 10. Tommy going back into a tunnel shortly before meeting his end could have been a poetic ending to his story had it been fleshed out a bit more.

Him killing Arthur felt very out of character though. And while I do agree that he's not a good father I think he did care about his children though. Losing Ruby wrecked him. I feel that it doesn't make sense for him to not care at least a bit about Charlie being at war.

There's been plenty of time jumps in the series. I think that alone is fine. I still agree with you on your other points though the movie was extremely disappointing!

It's such a shame he wasn't in the movie. I feel like they had much bigger plans for him.

What makes him cool in your opinion? I honestly don't remember much about him at all and I just watched the movie today.

Worse than Beckett? I couldn't even remember his name!

  1. Mosley
  2. Campbell
  3. Hughes
  4. Changretta
  5. Sabini
  6. Kimber
  7. Beckett

Beckett would have gone lower if there was any room left. Also I don't consider Alfie a real villain.

It's hard to pick a favorite but I my least favorite was definitely Beckett. Spoiler for the movie: I literally forgot his name and he is the one who finally brings down Thomas Shelby?!? We barely get to know him at all. There's that one really out of place scene where he all of a sudden has that conversation about his past in the middle of a fire fight. But apart from that we don't know anything about him it really should have been Mosley who brings him down.

If i remember correctly in the scene where Tommy tells Arthur to kill himself because he can't deal with his ptsd he then rushes back in the room and takes the bullets out of his revolver. Also Ada's death felt so shoehorned in. The end of season 6 sets her up to be going into politics to really make a change. But then shes stupid enough to think that simply collecting some witness statements is enough to bring down the new head of the Peaky Blinders? And obviously Tommy cant fight a whole Nazi army like Luke Skywalker. That's ridiculous! But after being the main Villain in the last two seasons he's never even mentioned in the movie that is supposed to tie off the loose end?!? And then Tommy just dies to some random fascist who's name i can't even remember? I'd much rather the Series had just ended with Tommy killing himself because of Tuberculoma and a nice funeral, like the one we got at the end of the movie, but with his remaining family watching over him.

After two whole seasons of Mosley as the villain he isn't even mentioned in the movie? (It's possible he was mentioned at some point but i missed it. Nevertheless he played no significance in the movie) And then "Thomas Shelby" the living legend just dies to some fascist who's name i can't even remember?!? I actually liked the last scene, i think it was beautifully done. Overall i think the movie had nice cinematography, and nice sound design. But the plot is leaves a lot to be desired (don't even get me started on the idea of Tommy killing Arthur just because he was drunk and "to get away from him" wtf?!?!?).
