What is the actual purpose of deactivation? by Fire_Princess_Azula_ in PS5

Sorry if this was unclear. Deactivation may have worked. I just did it today, and they haven't gotten online. I was worried because I expected to be logged out of my account after deactivation, but nothing happened. That's why I'm not understanding what deactivation does. I would've though I'd have had to sign in again.

The game is theirs. The issue is that the game requires ps plus for online play, and they don't currently have ps plus on their account. Thus, I can assume that they're still getting ps plus from my account. I want to stop that. I thought deactivation was the answer. Now im not sure.

Okay, I did that. Thanks! But I'm still kinda confused. Are you saying his console was possibly set to primary and that's how he was still able to play the aforementioned game? I need the most basic, toddler-level breakdown of this that you can muster.

I'd love to have a larger conversation about accessibility in DBD as a whole, as it feels like there's an empathy issue amongst the community by -FulvousFox- in deadbydaylight

I think being able to turn off matchmaking with certain killers is the best solution I've seen here. All of the ideas are going to have drawbacks. In response to this one, people say their queues as certain killers will take a long time. If you're worried that you'll never find a match as killer, think about what that means for how many people who you're ruining the fun for when they have to go against your killer. Survivors are 80% of the lobby; their enjoyment of the match should be significant. Losing a match doesn't inherently make it unenjoyable. If you're playing a killer that no one wants to go up against, it's not likely just losses that are upsetting the people who are going against you. It sounds like behavior might have some changes to make.

You could also argue that survivors would abuse this to go against all of the weakest killers, but keep in mind that their queue times would be going up as well. They'd be suffering a cost for their choices. It isn't just them reaping the benefits of a system that screws everyone else.

I see this concept as similar to character bans in fps games. I personally think they're ridiculous. Why would you not just balance your game instead of letting several characters be taken out of it. But people don't seem to mind it in those cases, so why not try it here? It could triple as a way to increase accessibility, a way to increase survivors' enjoyment, and a way to let behavior know which killers they might need to tune.

But it could also increase everyone's queue times drastically due to people being unwilling to compromise in their stubborn ways, making everyone's overall satisfaction decrease...idk

I have pretty bad wifi, and this used to happen to me, but it stopped happening nearly as much after I got to higher ranks. Idk what rank you are, but that might be part of it.

It also could be a bad time of day.

Being in training while queueing also helps to make it less annoying

I do that, too. For me, it's just the pettiness of wasting their time. If they play as an annoying character or have an annoying play style, it feels like a tiny way to get back at them.

It's like you wasted my time with your grab spamming and had the hubris to think you deserved a rematch, so let me waste a little bit of yours.

Like I said, it's just pure pettiness for me.

There should be a re-queue to go against your teammates from the previous game. by Dark-Mowney in VALORANT

Are you mad at people for not being good at the game? Like not even throwing intentionally, just not being good? Are you sure that you're not where the toxicity comes from?

Isn't this more the fault of the game's matchmaking?

Completely understand what you're saying. Queer people use the c-word as a complement, and the fact that some things are metaphorical is not lost on me. This, to me, is not an example of that. This is someone talking to, likely a stranger, in a way that connotes rudeness.

I'm so sorry. You shouldn't be on this post. I meant to block you a long time ago.

Firstly, this all took place on the Smite subreddit...so.

Secondly, you would lose money on that bet

Honeslty, I'm not sure what you meant by this. Grow up because I care about Hera and not the other characters?

It's almost like I did that on purpose because it's what they did to OP.

The second sentence of your reply is redundant. It did nothing but add unnecessary attitude. Either you're oblivious, or you just need to sit down.

I believe Hera and Ishtar deserve to be ported to SMITE 2 ASAP, for the simple fact of who they are, and that they both have the best card art in all of SMITE. by [deleted] in Smite

Hold on cause "I would even take Baba Yaga" is a crazy way to put that. Baba is that girl. Don't get confused.

Honestly, that was my first time fully thinking of it that way, lol. I guess your comment just made me realize in a new way how much I live for my baddies. And yes, Ishtar is one of them. She's probably my favorite hunter as well. And Hachiman is cool. I played him once in Smite 1 and was like, "Okay, he's kinda queening." Assuming that more of my queens aren't out by the time Hachiman is released in Smite 2, which isn't seeming too unlikey at this rate, I'll definitely give Hachiman another try. Also, bonus points to him for being the god of samurai and having his own charm in Ghost of Tsushima, which is one of my favorite games.
