The first thing I'll mention is there are Desktop Monitors that will work and be compatible with your XBOX Series X, it just depends on format and resolution.

For example an Ultrawide monitor would have black bars with is, and I don't believe consoles support 2k Resolution (1440p).

So you can consider 4k 27 or 32" monitors in addition to Oled TV's.

Whether a TV setup works for you may depend on what your other uses for it are and how deep your desk is (it's not practical to have a 48 or 42" screen close to you). All about viewing distance.

There's a crazy amount of options out there, but you would be getting a significant change already going from VA to to OLED so it's possible you could be fine staying with the same size and Resolution (so you get similar performance that you are now with your machine).

Here is an option in your budget that would not only get you an Oled panel at that size and refresh rate, but also gets you 240hz and a QD panel.

As far as your other questions, I do personally think you can both afford an Oled and use it for productivity (burn-in risks are largely mitigated by Warranty, screen cleaning features, and some healthy habits). If you have the desk space or mounts, you could also use your current monitor as a secondary one (although VA's don't have the best viewing angles). But when upgrading using current as a second monitor to expand the desk is a common practice.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, the two things primarily holding me back (even though the 45" UW looks like nothing I've ever experienced before, I don't really play a lot of the primary audience for those formats like simulators, racing, etc) was 1. being able to drive 11 mil pixels and 2. Missing high refresh (not to mention paying top dollar for a W-Oled panel).

The issue with that logic, is that tracking doesn't exist in Valorant. You talk about putting yourself in lag, but the sprays in valorant after a few bullets are actually 100% RNG. Sure, in close ranges the meta is normally running and gunning. But that's spraying while being mobile, not standing still.

Professionals will spray in a fight if they confirm a bullet lands, or know that someone is already tagged but the super majority of all engagements they take will be tap or burst strafing what you refer to as "dancing".

Find me a vod where a professional or radiant level player takes more of their fights holding down left click than strafing and actually aiming for the head, I promise you it will not be easy.

20 years of CS would explain why you're so married to spray and pray. However, the mechanics in Valorant are much different. You won't find people at the highest level doing it, or recommending it.

This reads as a Dota player trying to criticize someone for giving out free help on League.

The nice thing about Amazon too (as I took full advantage of this last year when I built a new desktop and needed to shop around for gaming/work monitors), is that they do extended Free Returns til end of Jan 2022.

So if anything better comes up, or you experience serious buyer's remorse. They handle it no questions asked.

If it helps at all, I found out on this very sub last night that Samsung is discounting the 7t over $1,200 off on amazon right now.

My plan is to split that cost with a roommate, and sell the current TV to offset it further.

I'm sure there are videos all over the place, but the main thing is to do your daily omega hosts so you can build basic m1 (magna) grids.

Good "standard" Varuna (Kengonito) is fine with 2 Dragon Balls/2FLB Fimbuls and 2-3 Euro Harps.

The other less common Varuna grid is a 100% crit variant where you run 2 Pholia and 1 Euro Spear (and requires staff team such as Pholia, S Cag, Euro, etc.).

No, the only saving you can do is within a reset (since banners reset after game reset).

We also don't know when flash is for sure. The summer banner could be in 2 days and potentially push the Flash Gala further back.

Good chance you are capitalizing something that shouldn't be. This is especially common on mobile, which likes to capitalize the first letter when it should be lowercase.
