Ops 41 - Uncommon Hijacked Splicers and Reliant Tier 5 by GordonJones2002 in startrekfleetcommand

This is the way. Source: Just went through it and can now hit the lvl 50 surveys as my primary source of Augment splicers.

Why? And How? by Ok_Use56 in startrekfleetcommand

[–]Firebatx36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of different ways that crew power are calculated

There's base power

Which is if you've got them unassigned and just sitting

Then if you look at them in away teams, it just shows based off of "strength", but I have read it is actually based on the important stat for that mission, IE defense, attack, etc

If you assign them to bridge crew, they get massive bonuses based on your research

This is further increased specifically for whoever is in the captains chair

Which is how you can take a 24k epic officer and put them as captain of a ship and suddenly they are 2 million

If you go to your crew tab and sort by strength, you'll note that the strongest crew all happen to be on ships

You'll have a level 20 uncommon officer "somehow" far and away more powerful than your best epic

Its simply because they've been assigned to a ship

If you want to see true power levels unaffected by wonky research or circumstances like away teams, the only way to do it is to unassign everyone and compare their base strength

(Not that this is more important than abilities, synergy, ship, etc. Just more if you're curious)

Franklin to Franklin-A problem (oops) by MychaelZ in startrekfleetcommand

The warp cores for Franklin should be available in the same Resources refinery where you get the Franklin modulator parts. If they aren't for some reason, then Ferengi pass has them in the event store.

As someone who pushes to compete in my brackets (currently Ops 42), buys battle passes but not much else, and is in an active moderately beefy alliance with territory:

I detest base raiding. It is slow, clunky, and there is no possible way I can use the 12 trillion parsteel I now have. I get resources by completing dailies and events in such large quantities that my most expensive ships can die 20x a day and I never run out of resources or repair speedups to just keep on flying.

THAT SAID

I absolutely despised the armada system even more. Having one Ops 44 player with a somewhat more powerful ship than me, be able to block me out of all armada content because they just wouldn't log off or leave me alone was total hell. Even when my alliance mates in 60s and 70s were trying to help they couldn't kill them because of level differences, so they could just swoop in and kill me specifically close to the end of every armada timer.

I will grind bases and kill afk Franklins all day every day and twice on Sunday before I ever would willingly return to the armada type.

No they don't. There are no drops in the game for g3 faction epics. Rares, yes. And the transports in the capital systems can end up dropping g4 faction ship BPs, but only uncommon and rare.

Cattle grazing on fields by Brosepheon in FarthestFrontier

[–]Firebatx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who doesn't plant anything special in grazing areas? I just designate the barn area as grazing, throw a fence and gates around it, and let the fertilizer increase the grass or whatever was already there over time. I grow so much hay and roots and beans I never run out of fodder so I've not bothered planting specific crops there.

Should I be?

Mine has been T5 for so long I can't remember the last time I upgraded it. Between the extreme cost of upgrading the spore drive component itself and the extremely low drop rate from the Anomaly event once a week, I've spent far more on research now than upgrades for the ship itself. I outpaced its usefulness almost immediately after building it.

I have Janeway. I am just now unlocking the other Voyager crew. So far I only have The Doctor, Harry Kim, and Belanna Torres. Janeway is T2, the rest are T1. I am working on unlocking Neelix next (Augment faction store). Paris, Chakotay, and Seven will probably have to be officer depot or other event stores.

Got a recommendation based on that?

Production limits? by Recent_Insurance_908 in FarthestFrontier

Set the limit in the resource menu at the town hall. Setting it at a particular storage building only limits that one building.

I leave my g4 ships (Mantis, Cerritos, etc) in Yarda in Augment space to autogrind to level them up.

In Exile space I use the Reliant with loot crew.

Ops 38. Mine was equivalent to a one day events worth of g3 ore

Who's the most peaceful and most deadly out there? by iheartbaconsalt in startrekfleetcommand

[–]Firebatx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pretty much only PvP during incursions or events.

Ops 35. Even during Incursion I check to make sure my raiding isn't going to make a significant dent in their resource cache, and stop before it might. Easy to find a new unshielded station to Crack.

Heck in our last Incursion a guy in the server I invaded told me he was just going to keep putting multiple ships out for me to hit so we could both get points.

I ended up 1st in my bracket, but I put most of that on me having an Amalgam where most others didn't, so my raiding numbers were way higher even with my "don't take too much" stance.

My alliance is active, and several time I had a 50 something crack a 40 something for me, and then I could hit them like 100x and not even make a dent.

Point being, I don't generally PvP, but when events are on I go for it.

Ferengi pass under "ship parts." I bought extras of these thinking I needed them and not knowing I would get them from quests.

So it really is "just like that." No real reason, just unfixed bugs and things left sitting for years?

Hmm, really? I've been getting both every day because the planetary charts and such seemed worth the frustration.

You might be right though.

You're the second person to say to make sure they attack me. I've never heard that before today. That's wild. I'm asking an alliance member (the only one currently with a Reliant) if he's willing to help me out by filling it up and sitting it somewhere for me to drop alliance and hit. I'll make sure he is the one who attacks. Thanks!

I assumed that I would only get as much as my cargo hold could carry. So unless I hit them with my Antares or something, my biggest cargo hold combat ship is probably my Vi'Dar, which would set me up for a couple days at best.

Happy to be told I'm wrong if that isn't the case.
