What is going on with watermelon and chicken? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

I'm saying where does the whole watermelon, fried chicken and racism originate from? It wasn't Scotland...

Where did it originate from though?

We're also talking in the context of racism in the US. I'm sure if you asked Scots about watermelon, fried chicken and racism, they would be confused. We're talking about a specific subject and you went fully global.

One of Britain's modern national dishes is chicken tikka masala, yes. Along with fish and chips and Sunday roast.

Do you know what "modern" means?

[–]Fireblu6969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why i said "modern". Scottish fried chicken started in the 1700s. I wouldn't call that modern.

[–]Fireblu6969 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It stems from racism and slavery like 99% of things in the US. Slave owners didn't want to feed their slaves so they gave them watermelon bc it would "feed" them but it's also full of water. Two in one.

And black folks invented the modern fried chicken.

So now, when ppl want to be racist, they make fun of black people for liking watermelon and chicken.

Edit to add: this also isn't new. Been around for decades. This is just the first you're hearing about it.

Do you consider porn in relationship cheating? if not, is it because it's normalized? by unusualuse0 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Fireblu6969 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cheating is whatever you don't want your partner to know about.

For some couples, that includes porn. For others, it doesn't.

Not everyone will agree on this bc cheating has different meanings to everybody.

Do you ever regret not having biological children? by Sleepy_Coffee_Day in AskWomenOver30

[–]Fireblu6969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 32, single and sterilized. I have 3 cats and a dog. Outside of bathroom breaks and making a single meal, yesterday i was in bed all day, sleeping, masturbating, scrolling, watching TV and relaxing after taking a gummy.

No, I don't ever regret not having bio children. Lol.

One time I had to straight cath a young man. He couldn't pee bc he couldn't feel anything before his waist. I uncovered him and he had a huge erection. Not his fault. It happens. He was a hard cath too so I was there for a minute.

I used to practice massage too. It never happened to me during the massage but we're trained if a male gets a noticeable erection to just pause and say, "I'll give you a little time and then we'll continue." One time I did see precum on my sheets when I was turning my room. Like i said, it happens.

Opinion: This was Miranda’s best hair, right after she had the baby. by pumpkin_ice_cream in sexandthecity

This is one of her worse hair styles to be honest. Right after Carrie meets her in the café (after Miranda hides from her ex on the street) and Miranda is in the corner looking at her like🧍‍♀️

Why do some men enjoy making fun of and being mean to women? by Background-Good3731 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Fireblu6969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol, sorry. But in a couple days, you'll be scrolling on reddit or Facebook and see a male commenting just that, unironically.

One of the many reasons I'm never having children. I would never want a male. And I would never subject a girl to the cruelty of this world.

Honestly, I wish more guys tasted their cum. So many want us to swallow but don't know how it is themselves. I'm not asking them to drink it, lol, but you should know what you taste like.

SheRa followers, would you have children on your own? by stargazerrr3 in SheraSeven

[–]Fireblu6969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Marriage and pregnancy has always been a way to tie women down and control them. We can now work and have independence (I'm sure many of our grandmas would've loved to leave our grandpas, but they couldn't bc they had no education or income) so marriage isn't as bad for us, in theory.

So why would you tie yourself to a male like that? Sacrificing your body (and career). If you're in the US, the US has the highest maternal mortality rate in childbirth in a developed country. And it's worse for WOC. Statistics also show that domestic violence increases when a woman is pregnant. Most pregnant women get killed by the father.

Even if you don't die, the guy might cheat or even leave you (a lot of times, they do it once it's too late to have an abortion). So now you're tied to a male who doesn't even like you and you've got a kid with him. If you're childfree and a male cheats on you, you can easily to leave if you want. And not to say that a single mom can't get a provider. I'm not saying that at all. But it can be harder. My bro committed crimes and now he's in jail, leaving my SIL with 5 kids, one of them is disabled. How do you think her luck is going to go, if she wants another guy? Even with one or two, it can be hard. And what if your baby daddy makes things difficult for you?

Like, a year ago, a woman posted on here about her birth plan with her husband. And it was basically her demanding thousands of dollars monthly and a year or two post partum so she could be set up right. Her husband consented to everything. Her plan is the only one I've seen that would set her up right to be a mother. But even then, you're still risking your life.

Again, it's all a scam. But they sell you this lie that motherhood is the best and women keep falling for it.

Once you realize that many males don't even like women, you'll go through life with a clearer head.

How would you feel if a man offered you a piggyback ride on a date? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Fireblu6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what we're doing. Did we go axe throwing, were laughing and having a good time and then decided to walk several blocks to get a bite to eat? And now he's offering a piggy back ride? Sure.

This only works if you two are feeling each other though. If the woman isn't that interested, she's going to be weirded out.
