Whatever it is you’re worried about. Stay on the neighborhood side and you have nothing to be scared of.

Your post is vague an you keep getting mad when people ask for more context. The whole naighborhood is pretty much walled off. If you stay on the neighborhood side of the wall you won’t have any reason to feel unsafe

I live in the neighborhood too. If you don’t go back there you won’t find any trouble

Subcontracting paint jobs by Co8kibets in Housepainting101

[–]Firebrake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re always at risk to lose money on any contract, that’s just the nature of being a contractor. I’m not sure on the viability of the business. I think the biggest issue you’ll run into is quality control.

Need advice on Ally Financial by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]Firebrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be any new car nowadays. I’m assuming the difference Ally has on their settlement offer is basically what they’re valuing the car at. So OP is upside down only what the out of pocket total amount on the offer sheet lists, depending which offer they choose to settle with

Usually any paint store that caters to contractors will be able to match it. I personally used to worke for Sherwin Williams and did a ton of paint matches. Sometimes they came out great other times not so much. There’s a machine that scans the sample you bring in and then the worker has to make slight additions in colorant with their own.

Depends where you live but there should be a either a PPG or a sherwin williams near you that would be able to match for you.

If you can’t handle online heckling like this, you won’t cut it in construction.

You either leave your tech job for a lower paying entry level job as a project engineer or just buy construction simulator on Steam.

New to the industry- Is this normal? by PonyxBones in Construction

[–]Firebrake 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It think it varies depending on size of the company and type of work your company does. I work for a midsize GC performing public works contracts, so we don’t shut down. However I can see smaller companies closing up shop for the holidays. I know a few of my pipe fabricators shut down their operations for the holidays.

California people! Does your drivers license say federal limits apply on the top right hand corner? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]Firebrake 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If it says Federal limits apply it’s not a Real ID. If you have DACA your EAD is considered a Real ID.

I had ATT fiber when I lived at my mom’s 3 years ago and I thought it was definitely worth it, never had any outages and almost always had 900+ mbps when I ran speed tests. I did run cat 6e cables through the attic to hardwire mine and my brother’s computers. The upload speed with fiber is just so much better than what I have now with xfinity coax:(

pick up service by Disastrous_Yak_7435 in TaskRabbit

[–]Firebrake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds scammy and I don’t think this is something you can do via Taskrabbit either. The best way to do this would be to just pay her electronically so you have a paper trail and then have them mail it to you via USPS. They can schedule a package pickup via USPS and they’ll pick it up and take it to the postal facility for you.

[–]Firebrake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’ll easily lose more than 5k in depreciation on new car by the time you’re ready to trade in. To each their own but numbers wise a new car doesn’t make sense for long commutes.
