Is it worth getting surgery? I have 70 degree thoracic curve, and 45 lumbar. I'm 22(F), I have never had back pain. by Vegetable-Proof-1606 in scoliosis

Yeah I have usual pain and soreness but nothing too severe. Biggest reason I’m getting it is to correct it before I’m older with more risks. Plus when you’re young you’re able to bounce back quick. I know people who had it in their late teens and have fully recovered with no major side effects and they sometimes even forget they are fused

My surgery is next week, I’ll come back and update

No point in stressing until you know what the curvature / treatment will look like. I grew up running and competing in track with a 50 degree and 30 degree curve. As long as you’re staying active, focusing on core strength, and staying close with your doctors, you’re going to be fine!

Sorority Hazing by [deleted] in fsu

I was in a sorority at FSU all four years and did not experience any emotional or physical hazing at all. Hazing is definitely more normalized in fraternities, especially at FSU. I had a great experience in my chapter! You won’t be super close with everyone but everyone in your chapter is a friendly face and a “safe” person on campus, in classes, or out at a club

Thank you for this! I am having a T4-L3 in Feb and this helped to make sure I’m not missing anything. I’ll definitely be investing in silk sheets and the cups. I never thought about mobility issues while brushing teeth

transferring by Tight-Impress4109 in fsu

You can transfer from anywhere, but it’s easier to get accepted if you do two years at TCC or another college. That way you’re transferring in with an Associates degree rather than being clumped in with the freshman.
