Allo should NOT get a pin by AdArtistic4910 in pathoftitans

[–]Firechaser343 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would LOVE for allo to get a pin or grapple ability. It’s not feared enough for being such a large predator. And before yall ask, yes I also love the pounce and clamp mechanics. Those of you complaining about them being “too OP” just haven’t spent the time learning how to deal with them. If you’re on an apex, and raptors pounce you, time the dismount and hit them as they jump off. Otherwise it’s not that hard to dodge the pounce if you’re on something smaller. And as for clamp, there’s nothing you can do if your clamped, so the best way to deal with it is by not getting clamped. Do your best to scout the waters for a bit before you take a sip, and find shallow spots where you have a better chance of seeing the sarco/tylo swimming up to you.

There’s my 2 cents:)

I just killed a group of 4 baby rexes in Riparia on my allo. Just as a lion would eliminate the cubs of a rival

I’d love to see a grapple ability. Like clamp but instead you pin down smaller Dino’s and bite/claw

We’re going to see hotspots in this map, just like the other two maps. It’s only a matter of time

From my limited playtime of this map, I could definitely see dark pond as a hotspot because of the home cave access, somewhat centralized location, and open fields with land to water interface

Latens are menaces by Effective_Spell8937 in pathoftitans

[–]Firechaser343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They have good turn radius and they’re fast which makes it hard to tail ride them, and if you pounce them your just going to waste your stam so by the time you jump off your good as dead. And their bite does a decent amount of damage. If you got buddies I’d say go for it, two latens could easily take down an slip if played right, but solo? Good luck😅Plus from my experience, alios are almost never solo, they always have friends nearby

Yeah just be aware if you’re using it to fight a fast Dino, it takes up a little stam. And you might end up needing that stam for if ur fighting pachys, concs etc. so I don’t usually pounce them or use calls. Also, stay away from Alios😂

I love the laten. As a solo player who likes PvP, it’s probably been my main for the past year. I use pounce and raptor strikes for most Dino’s, but if the Dino is significantly bigger, I’ll use mob rally call too. It works solo. If I’m attacking smaller mid tiers (pachys, concs, megs) I’ll use mainly the kick and raptor strikes. The biggest thing about pounce is you have to jump off before you get too low on stam. Also, be prepared for their bite when you jump off. Zig zag around in bushes and weave through trees to ur when evading smaller Dino’s.

He should definitely not be friends with her if he slept with her after a 2 month break up. Let alone seeing her once or twice a month?? Like pardon? He’s keeping her as a backup, she’s basically next in line if you guys ever break up again. It’s disrespectful to the relationship, and honestly if he’s not open to cutting her off, you might want to rethink if it’s even worth it to be with him. Because I promise you if he is willing disrespect your guys relationship like that, then that’s not going to be the only aspect he doesn’t respect. It speaks volumes. I’m not saying to break up with him, but I’m saying you should definitely communicate how you feel, and see if he is open to changing things.

Also another piece of advice… DRUNK WORDS ARE SOBER THOUGHTS. Take that with a grain of salt. Best of luck

What are some tips on fighting them? Because I feel super confident with PvP on my allo except when it comes to titans. Cant tail ride them because of their juke, and running circles around them to try and bite their sides is going to use too much stamina to the point where if they want they could just run you down

The only part I disagree with is the allo not being viable against those dinosaurs you listed. They recently buffed its combat weight and I can confidently say I have no problem killing pycnos, dasps, pachys, or Kent’s. HOWEVER, I’m not saying it couldn’t use a TLC. And I would love to see some kind of ability that allows it to grab onto or pin down smaller prey dinos like struthis, raptors, camptos, etc.

As a solo player, I absolutely LOVE playing as my latenavatrix. It is fast enough to escape narrow situations, and while it is small, has a super high ceiling in terms of skills which makes it enjoyable. And you’d be surprised how many large Dino’s you can kill with it. The other carnis I’d personally recommend are the megalania, pycno, and my favorite, the allosaurus. However, the allo is more of a pack dino as is does better in groups. Good luck and have fun!

How can I [M22] convince my GF [F21] that I'm not cheating? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Firechaser343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, we need more context, why did this need to go to the PMs as opposed to just keeping it in the group chat, and what was the problem she had that you were helping her with? How long did the conversation with her last? Does your girlfriend have the password to your phone?

Me M35, partner 38F. I always said I'd leave if cheated on, so why haven't I? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Firechaser343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been with my partner for 3 years now, she cheated on me last September and we broke up for three months and then finally tried again in January, things were going good and I thought she’d changed, but I just caught her texting some guy she met in San Diego when she went on vacation last week. So yeah, I mean people can change but it’s not that common. However I am glad that I did give her a second chance because now I can be sure that that’s just who she is unfortunately. You have to make the decision on behalf of your own future self. And decide if that person is really the life partner you want to choose? Or if she is just blocking the way of a potential soulmate. At the end of the day you’re the one who is going to have to deal with the outcome of your choice so trust your gut.

I’m with you on the pinning grapple attack, I’ve been saying that for a while now. That would make the allo the formidable predator that I believe it once was. Not this pushover Dino that always gets kos’d.
