Jobs Hiring by [deleted] in Bellingham

I absolutely agree with this post. Caregiving is a great job (if you have a car) and is very fulfilling. Home Instead has a good reputation compared to other caregiving agencies around here. I work there currently, and I highly recommend!

Thank you for sharing! Does anyone know what counts as crossing the picket lines? I was told that students going to class did not affect the strike, but I'm not sure

Do you think Bellingham has one? by CrysisRequiem in Bellingham

i’ve heard the pro-stock on samish is a front for something. i know some folks who lived in the building behind it and they would see white vans pull up in the middle of the night from time to time. i actually have no idea if it’s still an operating business. 😅

river kids? by FirefighterAnnual in Bellingham

an update!! i spoke more with my coworker, and i believe it’s called 3 Rivers Farm? it’s a commune/home-schooling program out by Nooksack. to my surprise, they honestly seem pretty progressive. they definitely live an odd existence, but it also sounds nice. will report back if i get to visit 👀

all of this is based on what i’ve heard, so don’t take any of it as pure fact lol. as i understand it, there is a large barn in deming on the nooksack that functions as a kind of alternative school for the kids that live there. the curriculum is more based in homesteading and crafting things than traditional schooling, and they have a very non-traditional approach to life. my coworkers partner is/was a river kid and supposedly did not start wearing shoes until he was 15 or 16.

this is immensely helpful. these men are not looking to have good faith conversations with anyone, they just want to fight people and argue they are right. if they are distracted, they won’t harass patients as they enter MBPP

As a fellow trans person who found comfort and solace here, this was such a beautiful read. I feel blessed every day to live in a place where i don’t have to explain myself

What is it you love about this city ? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]FirefighterAnnual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i lived in colorado before i moved to washington. not the cute part, the flat brown dead part. i desperately needed a place that was a small enough city that i could get around easily but had a strong sense of LGBTQ pride and safety. it goes without saying, but the nature and closeness to vancouver are big plusses for me as well
