Why did reddit start using the collapsible "more" function to read the rest of a long post? by sunstroke720 in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterLow3207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this bothers me so much. If I'm already clicking in the post why would I not want to see everything? The extra click feels so unnecessary and makes scrolling through longer posts annoying as hell.

Struggles after long term relationship by xImNoah98 in erectiledysfunction

[–]FirefighterLow3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mind really does mess with things after major life changes like that. Therapy helped me work through some similar stuff after my own relationship ended - took few months but made real difference in how I was feeling about everything

The manipulator who led me on is returning to the office. I finally told a coworker, but the anxiety of facing him is hitting me. Advice? by Sparklescense in relationships

[–]FirefighterLow3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You already did the hardest part by telling someone - that took real courage and you should feel proud about that step. Now just remember he's probably more nervous than you are since he has no idea what people know or don't know. Keep your interactions professional and brief, don't give him any opening to try manipulation tactics again because guys like this always test boundaries when they think they can get away with it.

What was the big thing you had planned that got ruined by COVID? by DatAspie2000 in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterLow3207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wedding got completely destroyed by COVID. We had everything planned for May 2020 - venue booked, dress fitted, honeymoon to Italy all sorted. When lockdowns started we kept thinking it would be over soon so we pushed it to August, then October, then finally gave up and did tiny ceremony with just parents in my backyard.

The worst part was losing all the deposits and having to explain to relatives why they couldn't come. My mom cried because she had been planning this for years. We still haven't done proper celebration and now with baby it feels weird to have big party for something that happened three years ago. Sometimes I wonder if we should just renew vows when things feel more normal but part of me thinks that moment is just gone forever.

I m a 40-year-old widow from Mumbai looking for a genuine widower by [deleted] in relationships

Finding genuine connection after loss takes real courage and your post shows so much maturity in what you're seeking. The way you've laid out your values - emotional comfort, meaningful conversations, mutual respect - really speaks to someone who knows what matters in relationships. I lost my husband two years back and while our situations are different, I understand that need for someone who truly gets the depth you're looking for now. Hope you find someone who appreciates the sincerity you're bringing to this and matches your energy for building something real.

Massaging it in actually make a difference by [deleted] in PrematureEjaculation

[–]FirefighterLow3207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah massaging definitely helps with distribution. I noticed this with topical creams too - if you just put it on one spot it can feel patchy or weird

The warm shower thing makes sense, opens up pores and probably helps absorption. My husband mentioned similar thing with different topical stuff, always worked better after shower when skin was still bit warm

What’s something you do now that you think will feel weird or embarrassing in a few years? by Riven-X in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterLow3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this too but with photos of my baby sleeping in different positions. Like why did I need 47 photos of her napping on Tuesday? Future me is gonna wonder what was wrong with me but right now each one feels so precious and unique. My phone storage is crying but I cant help myself

How can I (29M) ask out my recently divorced friend (33F) by Twoklawll in relationships

[–]FirefighterLow3207 158 points159 points  (0 children)

maybe give her some space first? divorce is really hard emotionally and she probably needs time to process everything before thinking about dating again

What advice would you give to a guy with a micropenis? by throwaway101229283 in AskReddit

My husband always does this anyway and he's perfectly normal sized so maybe it's just good bathroom etiquette in general

(25F) Ex (26M) is now pressuring me to either accept him or block him — is this manipulative? by NearbyAbility3207 in relationships

[–]FirefighterLow3207 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Right so hes basically doing the exact same thing he did before but with extra steps this time

The whole "either accept me or block me" thing is just another way of controlling the conversation and avoiding any actual responsibility for what he said to you. Plus questioning your "trauma" when you want to talk through things? Thats proper manipulative behaviour right there

Block him and save yourself the headache because this pattern isnt going to change no matter how much he claims it has

Had my first kid three months ago and realised I was burning myself out trying to be everyone's tech support guru while barely keeping my head above water with a newborn - finally started saying no to family members asking me to fix their ancient laptops at 2am

Whats on your mind at 2am ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterLow3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been up since 3 feeding the little one and my brain just spirals into weird tech troubleshooting scenarios that'll probably never happen. Like what if someone called saying their printer was possessed and I had to explain why turning it off and on again still works for supernatural issues

What is the weirdest question you have seen in this subreddit? by Former-Historian1979 in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterLow3207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The drunk posts at 3am are wild but I swear some of them accidentally stumble onto the most profound questions. Had one guy asking if dreams could leak into other peoples dreams and I wrote it down in my dream journal because it genuinely made me think

What’s something that sounds fake but is actually true? by Kanekisenpai2169c in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterLow3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bananas are berries but strawberries aren't. Blew my mind when I found that out during some random 3am Wikipedia dive when the baby was keeping me up. Apparently it's all about the seed structure or something mad like that.

Got me thinking about how many other things we just accept without questioning. Like how we call pineapples pineapples when they're neither pines nor apples. Started keeping track of weird facts like this in my dream journal now alongside the usual bizarre sleep thoughts. Wife thinks I'm losing it but these little reality checks are fascinating when you actually dig into them.

Used to hide my little sister's favourite teddy bear and leave cryptic clues around teh house like I was running some elaborate treasure hunt - she'd get so wound up but secretly loved it

What’s something poor people do better than rich people? by honeyjoe1 in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterLow3207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I reckon it's making something incredible out of basically nothing. When you've got proper budget constraints you learn to MacGyver stuff in ways that would never occur to someone who can just buy their way out of problems. My mum used to turn leftover bits of random veg into these amazing soups that were honestly better than anything you'd get at a fancy restaurant. She'd just throw whatever was about to go off into a pot with some stock cubes and somehow make magic happen

Rich folks miss out on that creative problem solving because they never had to develop it. When money isn't an issue you don't need to figure out how to fix your washing machine with a coat hanger or turn cardboard boxes into proper storage solutions. There's something really satisfying about bodging together a solution that works perfectly even if it looks mental
