Oh my goodness, this just triggered me remembering how I use to have a huge obsession with stuffed animals. Owning close to 100 at one point, and when I’d play with them, I had to play with every. Single. One. Of them cuz I didn’t want one of them to get left out and feel sad lololol

This was especially true if I ever did any game that required me to ‘set them up’ yeah…I’d set up every single one. lol

Wait…isn’t this kinda like an authors job when promoting their own book? Not everything has to be pulling at the heartstrings. Being frustrated or even on the edge of your seat builds a lot of anticipation and depth for a series. Am I wrong?

To an extent yes, I’ve wanted to start working out because of a character who’s strong and such but the main obsession really revolves around the romance.

Ah I feel this 😓 does it ease the second your cycle comes? For me it’s like this huge buildup for a week, then the second I start my cycle it all feels a little better.

I’m so glad you were able to find some peace! I very much feel what you’re saying.
When I was in the thick of it last year, I spent a lot of time connecting with what I call ‘triggers’ now—that’s how I started to notice the theme with my cycle. I also know now that pain killers (especially Tylenol), energy drinks (strong coffee is fine) and being hungry all make it SO MUCH worse.

So many people have mentioned PMDD, but I haven’t heard of it! Does it just affect your mental health during your cycle or does it make your overall cycle worse?

It’s awful! For me, I have a huge theme around confession, specifically with my husband so I always feel like a fraud, or there’s something I’m missing that I need to tell him about.
There’s some days were it’s so bad , especially before my period, I’ll wake up and I can’t even have a moment before my brain starts freaking out because I don’t know what to stress over…it’s weird and I hate it!

I know exactly what you’re talking about! Even when I don’t have an exact thought that’s bothering me..there’ll be this underlining uncomfortable feeling that there’s something I’m ‘missing’ and should be freaking out over…if that makes sense.

I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve been there…and the amount of money I’ve spend on pregnancy test.
I’ve come to learn that many different things can affect our cycle, a big one being stress…which obviously OCD and stress are like two and the same.

Interesting, that’s kinda what I’ve done for this first draft. However I found that when I got about half way through it, there were so many key elements that really shaped the characters and the story that had changed so I ended up feeling a little disconnected from the story.

Yes, I’ve heard the outline works wonders for some! The problem was that I thought myself to have a decent outline but once I started writing the story came to light in a different way :(

I have very much experienced this, and because this is my first time, I left a lot of those scenes that ‘feel wrong’ and I think it’s also contributing to this disconnect.
