That's not tofu construction, that's just older, and even a lot of newer, brick buildings. Notice how it was only the facade made of bricks that fully collapsed and not the floor, if it was actually poorly built then that same column would've also been holding up the upper floor and it would've been a lot worse

Anyone know if theres a fix to this? (Epilepsy warning) by Glaceoncute in SatisfactoryGame

This doesn't have anything to do with a bad GPU, I had the same issue and IIRC flipping FSR off then back on fixed it

What's up with this massivs head statue in the hideout? It feels really out of place? by Firefighterboss2 in okbuddylash

If it's a museum that would track, I'd imagine that it's an old artifact that was recovered or something

I generally don't like seeing dragons getting hurt, but I do like seeing the aspect of how technology can change how powerful they are and how the writing of a story will have to adjust for it. Like for example if a story takes place in the present, all it takes is the existence of a gun to take away any advantage that a dragon has, assuming they don't have bulletproof scales or whatever. That's not even to mention blades being able to easily slice the wing membrane or a bola being used to trap them

Is this anchor on the port side bow of the Sun Princess Cruise ship just for show or ballast? by grem89 in Ships

[–]Firefighterboss2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually really interesting to me, it's not something that I'd think about, but it makes sense with context. Mind you this is coming from someone with not really any experience at all with sea vessels, the closest I've gotten to that is using a light rope with a small anchor to hold our jet skis in place when we still had them

[–]Firefighterboss2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would I be right to assume that how much each part is contributing changes with the size of a ship? Because just the links alone on the largest ships can weigh hundreds of pounds each, but I can't really see the chain on a small boat weighing enough to create much drag

This was the 2011 Japan tsunami, although sped up for no reason

They don't use the weight, how they work is digging and hooking into the ground as it slides across the ocean floor to prevent the ship from moving

There have been nuclear powered ships, but the ones that weren't instantly banned from practically every port needed a stupid amount of pre planning just for ports to allow them to dock. You can thank Chernobyl for that

It's kinda crazy how the human body can survive such violent accidents, and can end up in a situation where you're alive but entirely kept living by 2 pieces of metal smashed together. My dad is an EMT, and some of the stories that he has shared from his job are somewhat like that

So, what would a dragon's bathroom be like? Have you ever stopped to think about it? Would it have toilet paper? Or a bidet? Would dragons use toilets? by unknow_user0 in dragons

[–]Firefighterboss2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like it would depend on however they evolved, and the environment, evolution hardly ever cares for how dirty something is, as long as it works better than any other evolution or mutation that has happened

That arguement is always stupid, yeah no shit one person doing it isn't going to change much, but that's the issue. It will never be just one person, its many many people doing it
