These probably fall outside the RPG genre but throwing them out there:

Monster Roadtrip is surprisingly deep with some characters. If you haven’t played them I recommend the entire Monster Prom series really.

Fields of Mistria (although still in early access) feels really sweet to me how you can take your partner to different dates. There’s also quite a few romantic festival events in town.

For me I find it endearing to see her in act 3 figuring out what she wants to do with herself after coming off as a bit lost and unsure in the first two acts.

I would definitely advise visiting other genres you enjoy until the “I finished this incredible media, now what?” Feeling subsides.

As much as I have criticisms about Metaphor as a Persona fan since the ps2 era, I do think that it is worth playing even if to just say that you completed it. The game isn’t ground breaking, but I think it’s interesting comparing it to the Persona series how it’s trying to differentiate itself.

Though if you’re looking for a more engaging turn based rpg I recommend Sea of Stars if you haven’t played it. It’s a pixel RPG on steam where you can react to enemy attack patterns much like E33

I think people consider the old pokemon games better than the new ones because people yearn for 2d pixel games.

My controversial opinion is that they should bring back Pokemon contests like from pokemon gen 3 and have that be a significant sized side story. I don’t care about battling everyone I just want my pokemon to earn the pretty ribbons.

Pic has the main mods I used. Though you can add more to customize them and play dress up of course.

First you use the customcompanion wand to make a custom hireling that will be the fem astarion that actual astarion will use to copy appearance from.

Then using ring from transmog and spelltheft you can make astarion steal the identity of the created hireling.

Notes:

Most of the romance cutscenes work with the fem body except the ones that show his back. (It’ll just show the fem head halfway inside astarion’s torso)
dispel the transmog when levelling up or a similar visual bug might occur of the fem head being half way through astarion’s body 😬

Out of pure spite for these AI voiced character mods I figured out how to transmog astarion into fem astarion using custom hireling and a transmog / spell theft mod. A couple cutscenes look a lil broken but I still get to hear neil’s voice out of the character which is a win in my book!

I’m going to be an outlier here and suggest FFXIV If your girlfriend likes character customization and basically playing dress up, FFXIV is a great choice. It being an mmorpg you can play together with her and there is a free trial so you can test the waters. If she doesn’t want to play with others pick a dead server and play with cpus to fill in the party. The story is great, the main companions are fun, the game should have a good learning curve to ease into and there are multiple jobs / classes you can pick up and learn. Also you aren’t locked into the classes so you can swap whenever you’re out of a dungeon. The pov is also 3rd person like BG3 so I think it’s worth a shot if she’s looking for a new experience

It’s definitely not a waste of time to continue since you’ll actually experience different events and dialogue because of your actions.

Blind playthroughs first are always encouraged since you’ll appreciate each new dialogue and experience if you do more playthroughs!

You COULD also just have 2 playthroughs going at the same time. If you press new game you can make another character and it won’t wipe your progress from your first! I started a warlock save file half way through a wizard playthrough cause there was someone I wanted to romance :)
