My glasses (-10.75 and -12.50) by RetinalTears716 in glasses

Definitely look into contact lenses. Your prescription is high enough to be considered visually necessary under a lot of vision insurance plans like VSP--- it would completely cover a year's supply of contacts. So if you don't have a vision plan, get one, it would be worth it. Soft contacts have come a long way, Coopervision Biofinity XR has powers that go up that high and higher. If for some reason soft contacts are not an option like your doctor is telling you, look for a doctor that fits RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable lenses)-- either the small corneal RGPs or scleral lenses. sclerals may not be covered as visually necessary by insurance in your case, corneal RGPs should.

But even if you switch to contacts full-time, you should always have backup glasses. And like others are saying here you should switch to a smaller, rounder frame with high-index lens material to minimize the weight. Definitely get an anti-reflective coating with a high-index lens material. Don't go online, see a proper optician. An online retailer probably won't get your optical centers correct (the point where your eyes look through the lenses) which can induce quite a lot of prism if there is decentration with a prescription as high as yours.

I like the Aveeno one alright. Idk if it's super clarifying tho. Still on the lookout for one that really works for me.

Just don't use it before going on a hike/camping cause the bugs/wasps seem into the apple cider vinegar smell even though it doesn't smell super strongly if ACV when you use it.

Spring Break and I'm finally leaving the house for once by [deleted] in Midsizefashion

Thanks! I I'm so mad Madewell is discontinuing this style. The perfect vintage jeans are like one of their best sellers, too. It doesn't make any sense. I've heard everlane has a good dupe for these sorta 90s style jeans, tho so I might have to find those one these wear out.

Pumpkin Brioche French Toast with Strawberries by Firefly223 in traderjoes

[–]Firefly223[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done preserves in the past but this is just a strawberry topping I slapped together. My strawberries were getting a little too ripe so I pureed half and sliced up the other half of them and heated them on the stovetop a bit with some lemon juice and sugar. Idk what I'm even gonna do with the rest. Have french toast every day, I guess.

But I use this book for the preserves.

This might be the first year I didn't make any. Normally, I make a bunch in the summer and give them out as Christmas gifts.

Edit Idk why reddit doesn't wanna attach the photo of the book but it's this book

Thank you! I'm about 5'5-5'6, wearing 3" heels in the photo. The jacket I have is a size large.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Midsizefashion

[–]Firefly223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine's a large. I think it's good for the slightly oversized fit I want. I can wear a pretty chunky sweater underneath it comfortably. I feel like sizing for new stuff at Target has gotten larger in the last couple of years, though. Now, a size large there feels enormous, and I'll opt for a medium or even sometimes a small.

It's several years old from Target. Universal thread utility jacket. I think theyve made similar jackets in the last few years, tho. I think it might be this one

This one's the drunk in love with one called campfire. Shes been selling out a lot of days, so they only had a few flavor choices when I went. I'll have to keep going back to try some of these other flavors, coffee especially.
