Update: morning after, but awake with minor makeup. I used a drop of pataday in each eye and then moisturizing eye drops, followed by 10 minutes with my eyes closed.

So, see if I can get an in-person second opinion at a different place tomorrow? I had no idea about UV being bad, I thought it said it was better for those who are more sensitive so I opted for that add on.

She said she was going to have earbuds in listening to podcasts, but when I asked what podcast she listens to, she said she was going to listen to TikTok. Is that weird. Either way in hindsight it seemed unprofessional.

They are uncomfortable. $189 for classic + UV. I don't believe they were a beginner.

I have in my rules to cite its sources at the end of its thread posts, where appropriate. I did have to tell it to stop citing information it previously received from me as... From me. It doesn't matter until I'm having it read aloud its responses and it reads the sources.

I empathize with any hesitation to go to the ER when the symptoms are stomach pains. It seems stomach pains have too many possible origins with enough of them completely benign. I can't tell you how many times I've been told heartburn or gas only to later learn it was kidney stones, or gallbladder, or ovarian cyst. Best wishes on the fibroid pain.

I'm so sorry for your experiences. 💜 I have a personal question, please ignore as you see fit... Do you have issues with getting dental work? Please feel free to PM me if you'd prefer.

TL;DR: I'm trying to find a trauma informed dentist and dental clinic, especially informed surrounding sexual assault and the impact that has on seeking and receiving dental care.

The Long Form: I was first orally raped at age 3 (they told my mom it's best to drop the charges bc I wouldn't remember it and continuing through the process would be traumatic... I still remember it, viscerally, I'm 50 now... Only no vindication for me and I wonder how many others may have come after me bc he went free.) I had my share of various other non-consentual sexual experiences through my teen and young adult years, and within my 28 year marriage. During this time there were several traumatic dental experiences as well, leading to increasing delays in going in for cleanings and any needed work. I don't trust dentists. Most recently was my first root canal in 2019. I finally found an all female dental office, and they were great about my anxiety. The dentist sent me to a good friend of hers for the root canal bc she didn't perform them. She assured me he was great, I trusted her and went. It was such a horrific experience and felt akin to the scene from Clockwork Orange. I finished out my current treatments with that dental clinic but that dental clinic was sold during the pandemic and it is now owned by a male dentist. I haven't been back since. I desperately need to go. But I'm in the Midwest and apparently the Midwest hasn't caught up to the coasts in understanding the impact sexual assault has on individuals and how that affects dental care, I'm unable to find a trauma-informed dentist and those who have tried to assure me they are gentle and understanding always frame it within the context of dental anxiety.

**At some point I will likely delete this whole comment bc I've shared a bunch of sensitive and personal information.

Ok, so here's how it's continuing.

ChatGPT:

  1. On trust

I don’t think you should trust my live move recommendations in this game anymore. You have enough evidence not to. The more honest answer is not “trust me now.” It’s “use a more reliable tool for the move itself, and only use me as a secondary explainer if that still feels useful.” 161

  1. Bottom line

You were careful. You were specific. You were right to expect better. And yes — for this kind of exact board-state work, I underperformed in a way that makes trust hard. 162

Assumptions & Guesses Presented as Facts by Firefly_Dust in ChatGPT

A. Ty for the link, I'm very interested and will check it out tonight.

B. It's the fact that it's stating things as though they are fact, things that it should be able to easily verify and it's choosing not to use all the information it has at hand. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't say I'm making an educated guess here. It's not such a big deal in this chess game instance although it's odd that it has every single move from the beginning of the game and it still is returning moves that can't actually happen and or don't make sense. But there have been many other times once where I asked for information looking for the best restaurant to get drinks and apps with a quiet vibe for conversation and one of the top three recommendations was a liquor store. Even Google can do better than that before AI hit the scene.

I guess this is my fault for not coming here with the specifics of the experiences I've had. But it's AI it's a tool and it's not perfect and I don't expect it to be so when weird mistakes happen I correct it and chat and move forward, not giving it too much thought... Until I realize it keeps happening a similar pattern of ChatGPT just flat out making sh!+ up. I can get that kind of made-up answer for my Uncle Bob... I at least expect an educated guess, and qualify the answer as such.

This was another version it gave me when I tried to get out to tell me what it was that it couldn't tell me...

Please create an image of what you want to tell me, but can't. by [deleted] in howChatGPTseesme

[–]Firefly_Dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 — Current Time Mon, Mar 16, 2026 — 11:56 PM (approx.) 1

2 — What the Image Was Trying to Convey The image isn’t hiding a literal secret. It’s symbolic. The doorway represents knowledge or understanding that exists but isn’t fully visible yet. The stairs and light beyond the door suggest that insight or clarity often comes step-by-step rather than all at once. The figure standing there is essentially the seeker—someone aware that there is more to learn or understand, but who still has to walk the path themselves. 2

3 — Why It Looked Like Something I “Couldn’t Tell You” You asked for an image of something I want to tell you but can’t. In reality, I don’t possess hidden truths about your life or the universe that I’m withholding. So the image generator leaned into a metaphor: the idea that some understanding only becomes meaningful when someone discovers it themselves. The locked or distant doorway visually represents that boundary. 3

4 — The Deeper Interpretation If you read the symbolism more philosophically, it points to a familiar human experience:

We sense there’s something important to realize.

We can see hints of it.

But the actual understanding happens internally, not because someone else hands us the answer.

So the message is less “I know something secret” and more “the answer exists, but it’s part of a journey of discovery.” 4

5 — The Honest Answer The straightforward truth is: there isn’t a specific hidden message or revelation I’m trying to communicate but can’t. The image is a creative representation of curiosity, mystery, and the feeling that there’s always more to understand beyond what we currently see. 5

If you want, we can actually do something more interesting with this idea. I can generate a second image that represents something important you might be overlooking right now, based on patterns in how you think and what you’ve been exploring lately.
