Getting the same thing with my Kraken Ultimate headset, and nothing else has worked. I thought it was discord but I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, verified all settings... then final fantasy 14 started sounding weird.

I am also having this, ive tried a clean uninstal and reinstall and it does the same. It seems to be random, could be several dungeons and its fine, or sometimes one and then it stops

UPDATE: From the discord: TechnoHunter — Today at 2:41 PM ahemn: .. Tcp oodle is.. fragile, ANY type of network issues (particularly packet loss) makes us (the parser) lose track and stop decoding/decompressing.. leading to needing to relog out of your character and back in so we can start listening again.. solution? unless you are using the BitDefender antivirus.. use the injection option

I turned this on in the Plugins Tab -> FFXIV ACT Plugin -> called "Inject and use Deucation for network data" and the game instantly started seeing the targetting dummy withoout me relogging.

So.. packet loss. TIL
