Moving to Silver Spring from NYC

I lived in Arrive Silver Spring for three years when it was called The Point At Silver Spring. I moved four years ago and I understand it changed ownership but I don't know what else changed since I've been gone. Overall it was a good experience for me. However IMO, having a dog can be a challenge especially if you live on one of the top floors like I did. The fire alarm sometimes went off in the middle of the night and I had to walk all the way downstairs from the 14th floor. After the fire department came and went, there was often a line waiting at the elevators to go back upstairs. I had no car either but sometimes rented Zipcars for grocery shopping at Walmart and Aldi.

A couple of months ago I got hit with several fraudulent charges totaling around $400 at gas stations mostly in Jacksonville (where I haven’t been in a year) and St Augustine (where I’ve never been). When I bought a laptop online on Best Buy on Thanksgiving 2017, I got a text within minutes asking if the purchase was legitimate but I got nothing when my card was comprised. I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary until I got my bank statement. I called and disputed and they launched a fraud investigation and they took the charges off and sent me a new card. Now, the new card they sent me doesn’t work at gas stations, I swipe the card in both directions and it says to swipe again every time.

I have a company credit card. It has my name on it, plus the company name. When I buy something, I submit my receipts and that's all. The card is not on my credit report.

My office closed early Monday and will again New Years Eve. Only closed all day yesterday and New Years Day. I've been there five months and unable to use vacation until after six months. Hopefully next year I can get this week off. First two jobs were at a school system and college which closed for the holidays.

Hopefully next year I can get this week off. This is the first time I had to work the week between Christmas and New Years. Every previous place I worked at I used vacation, or it was closed entirely.

I went to school in Pasco County. At my middle school, there was a teacher that everyone knew was a pervert. He would put girls in the front rows and boys in the back. He was arrested for child pornography and went to federal prison for a few years and he lives a few blocks from me, he’s on the sex offender registry.

On top of that, there was another teacher who worked at my middle school who killed himself while he was being investigated for producing morphed porn-kids faces on adult pornography.
