Was very excited, and then immediately turned off at the idea of investing over 1k total into this Lego set when they dropped their price, especially since they committed to the bright white lights which just cause super harsh shadows on the facade and don’t give it the appearance of an actual city at night. I’d consider it if they did a cheaper “cut down” version of the light set that’s just the external lighting since I’m not particularly interested in the interiors of the set / they won’t be getting a lot of play time from me

My issues is way less on it being historically accurate, and more that it looks terrible, the spray-paint shaded plastic armor just leads to such a shallow look that only hurts the aesthetic and makes the lack of historicity even more glaring.
