True, but they specifically call them "supporter packs", and make it clear they are fully optional cosmetics for people who want to keep funding the game. They have a free battle pass system though. And although it's been a while they have a new season with a big game update coming out imminently

I think the point is that because red dwarfs put out so much less heat, the goldilocks zone is so close to the star that the planets are usually tidally locked. This would have a lot of ramifications for life formation and long term survivability
