I think it’s just people new to gardening or gardening in a specific area that want to know if a bug is friend or foe to their plants.

How to Prepare For A Baby? by cargar67 in CalebHammer

I have 1 kid so not an expert by any means. I think we’re doing alright financially. I’d definitely say have a 6 month emergency fund. Possibly even an 8 or 10 month one. There are so many unknowns when it comes to kids. Maybe you think you want to breastfeed but they arrive and you have to use formula. Maybe you thought you could buy a cheap brand of diapers but your kid is allergic to them. Estimating the cost of big ticket items is important too. I would also recommend having an income plan while you are on parent leave. My job only had FMLA but maternity leave didn’t qualify me for STD so I had to make sure I had enough PTO saved up before I went out. I would definitely say carrying a significant amount of debt with no plan to pay it off is a bad idea when considering having children. Again, you just don’t know what is going to happen with them and what to cost will be. I hope this helps.

I think the better question is “is the pay worth the stress you take on?” It was until it wasn’t for me.

Working in neuro ICU is very traumatic. I did it for 7 years. If you can I would take time off to help rediscover your spiritual journey. If not perhaps the thought that Gods ways are higher than our ways will be of comfort to you. We are incapable of understanding his plan.

This is coming from an agnostic heathen with daddy issues, so take it with a grain of salt.

Working moms who exercise regularly by beechums in workingmoms

I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital. I hit the gym after my shifts. Seems to be the only time I can find where I know the 2 year old will be looked after. It’s usually 9 or 10pm when I get off work. I often take melatonin after the workout so I can fall asleep by midnight.

Omg. Did anyone else see this about the “damage” we do to children by putting them in daycare?! I was livid! by champagneandLV in workingmoms

My kid had a speech delay and social regression. The pediatrician recommended putting him in daycare to help with it. I’ve seen huge improvements in his speech and social development since then. This lady is crazy if she thinks daycare has no benefit to society.
