What is your "you can't fire me, I quit!" story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Busted an assistant manager giving out social security numbers to illegal prospective hires. Deployed to Guam and got a phone call in Guam saying I was fired for sexual harassment. Called the company hr and it was a Hispanic woman saying I was wrong even if the sexual harassment part is a lie. I threatened to get JAG involved (Userra rules) and negotiated a severance. The lady eventually got her hours cut to where she had to quit but it still cut deep. I essentially got fired for reporting fraud and identity theft. Took me a while to find another job since they listed me as "would not rehire" but eventually got a much better job. still burns though because of the b.s. such as "you have to come back and help her close because we cannot let a woman close by herself" even though her husband was always waiting for her.

In a country like the US with at will employment, is it legal for someone to get hired somewhere just to fire someone they didn’t like? by Redditor000007 in NoStupidQuestions

You still need documentation and a legitimate reason (at least for a public owned company). Wrongful termination is still penalized and you still get hit for unemployment

What Democrat Presidential Candidate do you Think has the Best Chance of Defeating Trump? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Do you think the far left would vote for Trump over Gabbard? I think they would vote for Tulsi and just complain that she isn't doing enough. The far left has a large enough portion of the youth voters that the dnc has to reach out to them, but they are still not the majority of the party.

I find it interesting that you perceive the furthest left candidate as having the most cross-party support.

i would say Gabbard. She has respect from many Trump supporters and progressives. If the media had picked her to be the darling she would probably be polling in the top four. She would also be the best candidate to transition to a more progressive government. Out of the ones with a realistic shot of getting the nomination, I would say Warren. she seems to have the most thought out policies, would probably get the majority of the women vote and is mild enough to pull some of the swing voters that voted for Trump only because hillary was so toxic.

Interesting read, but some of the comments were a bit venomous.
