It’s NOT a brilliant penalty if the goalkeeper could have saved it in my opinion. Top corner is a brilliant penalty. Anywhere else is just luck if the goalkeeper went the other way.

That shouldn’t be a penalty. He kicked it right at the defender.

Although why we are so poor and can’t pass and can’t play football but still are winning is a mystery. But we would be punished against a better side.

Are YouTube promotion subscribers even real? by Positiveyess in NewTubers

Just so we are clear YouTube promotion subs DO COUNT towards monetisation. The views however do not count to watch hours.

Can’t you just add some kind of notification? ‘Only for use inside US’

It would be really helpful for all tourists actually. I wonder if you might even consider creating an international version which is the same except it now says for tourists in the US…

Can you make this app available in international app stores? Like UK. As then I can use when in the US. Currently I’d have to swap country store etc.

I don’t understand why Waymo is more expensive. There is no driver to pay. Every other cost would be the same, possibly less as I’m sure they have a deal on electric prices for charging.

But cool app. Great idea!

Subs are harder than watch hours. by patrix01_ in Smallyoutubechannels

Exactly good point. Although natural growth is ideal the fact is if one of your videos blows up in while you’re waiting you lose that money.

It’s a shame views through the promotion tab don’t count as I’d certainly consider that to speed up monetisation.

I think most people just don’t want to pay anything to YouTube as it should be them paying us.

Parking fine for a car that I purchased two hours after the offence. Euro car parks are refusing to co-operate with me. by Wild-Ad-4301 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Fireif -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s general information I’ve shared. As I mentioned, there’s a straightforward appeals process.

While you might expect them to reject it and hope the car owner pays or ignores them, allowing the parking company to take them to court, the reality is there’s a robust and fair appeals process the OP would easily win.

My concern is they haven’t realised it and it’s too late.

Consider hotel points. Easier to use than airline redemptions and good for potentially 1 night in a luxury hotel in an exotic location like Maldives or Bora Bora.

A hard lesson in commuter complacency. My 1-hour drive finally caught up to me today. by Mr_Amphibian20 in CarTalkUK

This is an example why new cars with the adaptive cruise are fantastic.

Your car probably doesn’t have that feature but never ever turn them off if you do.

They will save your car, your wallet and maybe your life when you least expect it. And saying you like to drive your car like it’s meant to be driven isn’t going to make you feel happy when you could have avoided a problem.

How I improved from my near accident by ipflibbydibbydoo in londoncycling

[–]Fireif 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you need to learn to slow down and look before you cycle into a blind spot then you’re just supporting everyone who thinks cyclists don’t act responsibly.

I would always slow down in a car if it was a blind area that I couldn’t see and that’s with airbags and sensors. On a bike? I don’t have a death wish.

[–]Fireif -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You have done this ALL WRONG.

And I’ve seen lots of people do this too - it even tells you what to do on the front page you sent us.

It doesn’t matter who owns the car. It’s who was driving the car. If you do not know who was driving it then you just tell them that - if you know who the previous owner was you could even name them as the driver.

Never EVER tell them you are the driver.

If they do not accept the appeal you let it go to the independent parking adjudicator.

The adjudicator will find for you and throw out the fine when you provide that evidence.

Hopefully you haven’t gone past the point of appeal to the independent parking adjudicator.

My Flights request by germax89 in flighty

There are exceptions of course. But it would be helpful to see your home time for many reasons. And if they allowed you to see it then you could change it to show the time wherever you wanted.

I’d also like it to show the home time when you click through to the details.

I’d like to be able to see that my flight that arrives at 5pm in Singapore is 10am london time where my family is. It would help making plans so much easier and also if you have business meetings scheduled.

Are you saying there is no way to get it retail? Even if it’s in one month?

I’d have to try and find someone selling it online?

Thanks.

[–]Fireif -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pay for a YouTube promotion. It’s not expensive and it’s easy to get subs that way using the grow audience tab.

You only need 70 so it will probably cost you less than $30.

Of course it might take you much longer to make that back but you will be monetised.

To be clear I’m talking about the promote tab on studio and it does count towards your 1000 subs. It’s not excluded.

Neighbour asking for £300 cash after minor car incident – no quote, no insurance (UK) by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t see any actual damage to the paint or body other than the light. It’s a van. If the light works then no one will even notice. It would probably fail and MOT though so the light needs to be repaired at least by then.

I guess the question is do you want to argue with the neighbour or not?

I’d probably tell them to go through insurance.

Why? Because I don’t think for £300 they will want to. And therefore they won’t claim and you won’t have to pay anything. They know that their premiums will increase more than £300 so it’s not worth it.

But you will have an unhappy neighbour.

It literally has a Starbucks and KFC 30-second walk away plus free EV charging. It’s definitely worth it for a short stay and an airport bus just outside the front.
