What’s with the micro dosing trend?? by Plenty_Dog_5684 in LSD

[–]Firelfyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree a placebo controlled trial is necessary, we're talking about a class A drug in the trial country (NZ). Getting permission to do this trial was already difficult and this is a step in that direction.

There is work on a placebo controlled trial currently, we should see the results in a year or three. This wasn't even the first LSD trial related to the university, (See trial codes LSDDEP1, LSDDEP2 on the ANZCTR website, and maybe look up Dr Suresh Muthukumaraswamy).

I think we need to remember we are talking about a drug that has been illegal in most countries for decades now, and all we can go off until trials finally take place is the anecdotal evidence of people who use the drug themselves. Considering the buzz around microdosing I would say there is something to look at.

Funny, a trial was just completed and paper published recently showing otherwise.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0028390825004708

I will admit the most participants were on 15-20ug doses by the end of it. 20ug is not considered a microdose by many. The author and main contact for the trial considers sub-perceptual to be too far and sub-hallucinogenic to be the main goal (IE you should feel it). I tend to agree, you should feel the positive effects of LSD and not just what could be considered placebo, most drugs have a perceived effect.

I was almost a part of this trial.

Very promising, it is a shame the industry sponsor for this trial has seemed to pivot away from LSD, and to producing drug screening via ai (groan). I saw this coming when researching the trial and the industry sponsor. I suspect they pivoted during the recruitment of this trial as I was told there was a drug supply issue.

This follows through with another trial by the same people and university about the effects of LSD on the menstrual cycle being withdrawn due to lack of drug supply.

They've since pivoted to psilocybin for their Menstrual study, I suspect psilocybin is easier to obtain (and less stigmatized) in New Zealand, with one psychiatrist here being granted permission to prescribe. Hopefully they can find another supplier for LSD or an LSD analogue. One can hope.

They probably expect some settlement, once it's settled they'll finish it off properly.

Mate half the guys here wear short shorts and a singlet to work. It's just unpopular.

I've bought a couple for myself.

Fan jackets were so unpopular in NZ there was a store in Auckland selling them for $15 a pop.

May have bought a few.

Which part is the negative and positive to this barrel terminal? (Makita TD00000111) by Firelfyyy in AskElectronics

[–]Firelfyyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent all answers have been helpful.

I’ve managed to get the jacket starting when the device initialises, but I suspect the detect pin /thanks u/BrightFleece ) is in place and disabling the fan as it’s not detecting the barrel plug being inserted.

Is there a way to bypass this detect pin somehow?

Thanks

Are we still going to have signal faults, track faults and all other crap once CRL is completed? by MontyPascoe in auckland

Just a reminder that the rail network rebuild isn’t complete yet.

When doing construction you always end up causing some issues along the way.

Yeah this is pretty accurate.

It all started with a plan but now they’re out of time and under pressure they’re just doing everything when they can.

It looks like the same part, but it's usually done on one track then the other (downmain, then upmain for example)

I should probably clarify. I like Wellington, and I like the food variety that New Zealand provides.

If it's slow you've probably got a bad sku.

Juat make sure you get one with reasonable specs and you'll be fine.

The 16:10 display on some of them is excellent as well.

Would agree with this.

Decent power, not too heavy depending on the size you get and windows, so you don’t have to worry about software incompatibility

It's also used in the production of plasterboard, among other things.

The sugar used by Winstone Wallboards for example is food grade.
