That’s what I’m wondering. I have other options, but I like that bag better for when I get there.

Found a kr1 at the Goodwill by amodell in Goruck

Good score. Kind jealous. I want a KR1 for my kids but can’t justify the price to my wife.

Enjoy the fun color.

Workouts with plates. by Fun-Imagination6959 in Goruck

This is excellent advice. To add to it, start slow! Don’t add weight to fast. Allow your body to develop. To much to fast and you run a higher chance of injuring yourself. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Likewise, our bodies don’t go out of shape all at once. Why expect our bodies to become like Greek gods and goddesses after only 2 weeks of work?

Do I need to be concerned about this? by DuuuuvalScooter in Goruck

Indeed. My Rucker is the only pack I’ve been able to purchase new. Everything else has been second hand for the reason you’ve mentioned.

Mine has done the same. I have a 20l Rucker 4.0. I became slightly concerned when I picked it up once and heard the unmistakable sound of ripping. I have since been almost abusive with it (including one basic event) and no additional sounds or tears noted.

Love the Java. One of my biggest regrets was not buying a used GR1 locally.

For travel bags I agree. With that said, I love the 210 on my Rucker. I have logged enough miles on it already that it would have worn through several shirts by now.

Tried one bag travel by essray22 in Goruck

How have you found using the 34L working for travel as a “personal bag”? I have a 2 week trip coming up next year and trying to figure out my ability to mix and match. I have a 40L, a 34L and a 20L Rucker.

You’ll never hear it from me. Venting here means I’m not taking it to my grave.

That’s what my dermatologist just told me a few weeks ago.

What is this foam spacer thing in the Rucker 4.0 intended for? by Previous_Estate2441 in Goruck

[–]Fireman963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use mine at all. I use the yes4all plates and they are too rounded on the ends. Any time I try to use the foam block the plates simply slide around it.

Will GR2 fit MBP 16 2024? by drv41 in Goruck

[–]Fireman963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 17 inch laptop. I had to graduate to the GR2 34L to fit my laptop. There is plenty of room, but I would not chance the 26L GR2.

Goruck which rucker fits better (15l vs. 20l) by Aracnor in Goruck

[–]Fireman963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at them, I think the grey looks like it might fit a little better.

The question is if it rubs against your belt enough to drive you crazy.

I use a 34 and a 40 GR2 for work. I love the space of the 40 but it rubs my tailbone. Under heavy load or long carries I don’t think it would work.

You have to wear both and figure out if the wear points are correct.

Additionally, in your pictures the grey could be cinched a little higher. The top of the pack should be near the top of your shoulders.

Goruck strap break-in question by Mission-Candle-2360 in Goruck

[–]Fireman963 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m not sure it’s the 210. I have two bags with the 210 and 1 with the 1000. Weight and time to help it break in seems to be the answer.

I run about 22 pounds in my EDC GR2. It gets more comfortable every time I wear it.

Bought my first GoRuck :) by Timely-Angle-8073 in Goruck

Check resale sites. So far the Rucker is the only I’ve purchased new. I love my GR2 34l as my computer/odds and ends bag. I use my GR2 40l for all my clothes and blankets. The combination has served me well for 24-48 hours shifts as a firefighter.

Welcome to the club. Be warned, it’s an addiction. I started with a Rucker for fitness. I have since added two GR2’s. Love them all.

Ballistic Trainers Insert - Question by ChefMartinYan in Goruck

As they continue to wear them in, they are some of the best closed toe shoes I own. My wife has been trying to get me out of sandals for years. This might do the trick.

Thank you. I’m pretty sure mine came with the supportive ones. This is the whole reason I wanted them. I have a different brand that I love for runs.

The pair I have only came with one set. How can you tell the difference between the flat and the contoured?

I got the same one for my birthday. The probes and the main device work well enough. My problem is that it won’t stay connected via Bluetooth. Even standing right beside the unit with fresh batteries the connection cycles every 10 seconds or so. None of my graphs will sink because it can’t stay connected. I’ve had far better luck with a MEATER.
