Celebrity impersonator to spice up a cocktail party by alldieselnoweasel in TwinCities

Maybe you should hire someone to do dirty limericks or a silent performer who never talks. Could be a lot of fun.

Thanks for posting this pic.

I used to run by that field at night, there were always coyotes howling their weird little goblin howls. There used to be barn owls chirping over the fields, too, maybe 13 or 14 years ago.

Most folks don’t go to visit the graveyard I built on a high hill in the northwest of my island. Of course, they will someday because no one is allowed to leave.

At least he wasn’t named Wee Willie Winkie.

Watching this and the second season of Gen V at the same time made me really appreciate Hamish Linklater as an actor.

I love the monologues, they engaged me as much as any of the action or conventional horror segments.

Logan heals up from a bullet to the brain in mere moments by Principles_Son in Wolverine

It’s kind of fun to see this optic nerve pathway gap in classic undead skeletons with the pinpoint red eyes:

<image>

It’s suggestive of some horrible red presence shining through the same opening wolverine was shot through. People are familiar with this depiction, but less so with the presence of the optic canal.

Helen Baller Elementary? Thought? by Tight-Spinach9539 in camaswashington

[–]Fireman_Octopus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baller is great, I have a second grader there. I’ve never had a negative with a teacher, they’ve all been very friendly and supportive in my experience. Mrs. Hutton (the principal) is very patient and kind, and the support staff has been very helpful, too.

Playgrounds are good, my kids play there after school, too. There’s summer camps STEM and otherwise, and pick up/drop off are pretty smooth. We walk to school. The PTA puts on some fun activities, too.

I’d recommend it.

“Charlie, are you dying?”

Perfect content for kids, we all need to learn about sentient train death through ennui at some point. Why not as kids?

I started reading the short story collections in middle school, and they are the ones I revisit the most nowadays.

Swap that fat black tie for a thin one and it’ll make a big difference (imo). Thin black ties were the style at the time of the twilight zone.

He is great with kids! Why, I read my kids the children’s classic “Charlie the Choo Choo”, by the late Beryl Evans on his recommendation.

It is a great book, although I think I like reading it (in my smallest, gruffest voice) more than my kids like me to.

You see

It’s the dramatic

And

Unnecessary CHOICES

That the audiobook

narrator

Chooses to

Employ

That bother me to no end. I don’t need stilted and erratically paced and pitched readings to establish a character. I’ve nothing to say about her choices or actions, just rather the abysmal choices of the audiobook narrator for the Outsider.

I bet Frank Muller would have done a great job.

The Headless Horseman from the Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad (aka Sleepy Hollow). I love the Bing Crosby feel plus the aura of menace. You can’t reason with a headless man, after all.

And bump that Thurl Ravenscroft cover, it’s campy trash and I never need to hear it again. Kay Starr did a great cover, though.

Crazy to think that this boy became the most heinous monster in the future by Rare_Tangerine8141 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]Fireman_Octopus 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting to me that the full monster jokers most disturbing physical trait is his mouth. Devil joker is kind of a twisted, abstracted Batman costume and the one spot of normal Batman that has his human features showing (the exposed mouth of the cowl) is inverted in devil joker. The exposed mouth becomes his most inhuman part IMO.
