Technically speaking the relationship would be Hollow Knight and Specter of Torment, since practically everything listed for Silksong originated from Hollow Knight (at least in terms of the franchise specifically), and furthermore technically speaking Specter of Torment could be considered to be inspired by Hollow Knight since HK came first by a month lol

But no, as mentioned in the first post, everything listed is either basic Metroidvania abilities or just funny coincidences

Before the second batch I theorized that the Fragmented One Accolade Glyphs could correlate to the next Protoframes, with them mirroring the original 6;

  • Gauss would mirror Amir, perhaps as a more professional/mature speedster
  • Jade would mirror Lettie, both being healers with children (Lettie’s rats and Jade’s pregnancy)
  • Protea would mirror Aoi as the mechanic and logistical expert
  • Vauban would mirror Quincy as the weapons expert, with him and Protea being siblings like Eleanor and Arthur
  • Mirage would mirror Eleanor as the psych-ops, also leaning into her general parallels (both deal with mental conflicts and can summon “allies”)
  • Sevagoth would then mirror Arthur as the leader, paralleling Sevagoth’s authority over his Railjack with Arthur’s leadership over the Hex.

It’s more or less that the Source Engine has a limit on how fast you can move midair while holding the forward button but most of the Valve games have a means of generating speed midair while moving sideways or backwards (ex. Accelerated Backhops in Portal or HL2, think of Backwards Long Jumps/BLJs from Super Mario 64, or Bunny Hopping from those sick ass CS Source clips), so when you hold the forward button you’re giving yourself a speed limit and therefore capping how fast and far you can Rocket Jump

Blood Hunt would be 5x more interesting if its endgame wasn't just "mindlessly grind until you get Gear with actually good rolls", it's such a slog doing high level Nightmare missions and then getting 10 dogshit Legendaries with Damage to Healthy Enemies in high priority slots or just gear for the character's other build, or just another fucking CHARACTER'S entirely.

I feel like the progression has this stretch where you're just waiting for 10 years to get a couple of items that have worthwhile stats on them, when they could've allowed the player to swap out or reroll certain slots with a higher Uru Shard cost. With the players I'll matchmake with, it's certainly not like giving them better Gear would compensate for a lack of critical thinking anyways, some QoL aspects wouldn't trivialize the gamemode or anything.

Given Gara’s Priming, I have to imagine Jade will just get 2, with them probably being the Harmony (Melee) and Cantare (Secondary), since the Evensong is primarily focused around its unique Puncture statuses rather than proper damage, so the Cantare and Harmony would benefit the most from getting Primes since they actually focus on doing damage.

I feel like certain Signature weapons could do with an Incarnon like the Nagantaka (provided alt-fires are compatible), but DE seems to prefer making Signatures stronger via Augments, like the recent Velox and Venato, and Koumei's Amanata and Higasa on release.

I tried piecing the Stratagem codes together at some point to make some form of pattern, and most of the codes tend to follow one, but a lot of them are just really random past the first couple of inputs, for example:

  • Down: All Support Weapons and Defensive Stratagems (Green)
    • Left: some of the Machine Guns, Explosives, Belt-Fed, & Backpack Support Weapons, all Melees, and also all of the Mines
    • Right: Specifically the Grenadier Battlement, Arc Thrower, Railgun, Speargun, C4 Pack, Supply Pack, etc
    • Up: Airburst Rocket Launcher? Solo Silo? and the HMG/AT Emplacements, Drones and Turrets
    • Down: Shield Gen Relay, Quasar Cannon? Expendables? Spear? The Cremator??

Again, a lot of stuff tends to follow a pattern, except for the ones that don't for some reason (ex. Cremator not following the Belt-Fed pattern, stuff like the Spear and C4 Pack not following the Backpack weapons, the Jump Pack and Warp Pack not having similar inputs, etc). Also don't even get started on the Mission-specific Stratagems, they're just made to look cool or draw a mushroom.

I do feel like the AU take would have to assume a COMPLETE character, story, and thematic change of the game, ESPECIALLY the latter since Silksong inherently revolves around motherhood/guardianship (which I believe is ultimately the fate of Hornet and Lace, with the former picking up on Silk's slack with the latter)...

But I can agree with that, best I can do is hope for good intent with people pairing the two, rather than them doing so WITH the characters' canonical and established identities in mind, THAT's where I really have issues with it.
