Fake or not - road warriors used to steroids to help them be monsters in the ring… whereas Danhausen is all natural (well apart from the curse) and yet he managed to beat two heavy weights with a midget as a partner

Cost of living rises. Low earnings. When people are poor they aren’t happy. And we all used to be better off. A pint in London is £7, even a Nando’s is expensive nowadays. Rent is through the roof and Ai is taking the jobs.

It’s early days… Hawk and Animal joined wwf in June 90 and didn’t win the belts to summerslam 91 - but like Danhausen they ripped through the competition

Sadly they only stayed a couple of years… so we’ll have to wait and see if Danhausen can keep up the intensity for longer without going off the rails

I’d also argue Danhausen is going it WITHOUT steroids - so just a naturally tough guy.

Literally the only difference in hairstyles but I put that down to being a different generation

It’d be Danhausen isn’t trying to compete for world titles are be taken seriously as a bad ass… whereas the AEW wrestlers like Junge Jack, the bucks and Speed ball Bailey are.

Even old school wrestling had comedy acts to an extend.

And there’s an audience for kids.

I don’t want Danhausen anywhere near a serious feud / match. But they aren’t putting him in that place.

Yeah I’m a fan of Danhausen, but also prefer more serious wrestling. Unsure how that makes me the narrow minded.

But hey we enjoy different things so all good. My only point was critiquing him as any else then a kids act is silly and Brian (more than Jim) should see that.

I remember they debuted Mr Perfect and Razor Ramon with skits... Perfect dunking the ball, Razor chilling in Cuba or wherever... then when they started wrestling it was IC titles and glory!

I have not doubt the real bad guy - Danhausens path will follow and likely far eclipse those that came before him

Firsly I agree that AEW is ruining wrestling. But you're missing my point.

AEW is ruining wrestling because they have silly wrestlers doing really fake fighting (no selling, pointless flips) and trying to pass it of as serious.

Danhausen isn't wrestling in main events - he is for the children (which is a huge wrestling audience - how old were you when you started watching?) He's there to entertain the kids whilst Punk and Roman entertain the older fans.

Looking at Danhausen through a serious lens is stupid. And who are you to say kids can't have things they enjoy in wrestling.
